- I challenged myself to make something in After Effects everyday for 30 days to see how much I would improve with using the software. This is my after effects editing evolution over one month.

That's pretty great progress. I love After Effects but it can be tough to use when you're not using it every day.
This is something I don't like. I want that if I learn a skill, it should remain with me, without me having to practise or give my time to it every single day :(
@@pappu4539 Unfortunately software skills esp in NLE editing and VFX is not like that. If you keep using it everyday only you can work with it comfortably. Esp if your using 2-3 softwares. This is 100% true....theres no free lunch....you need to put in ....to get something out. Its not like bicycling....where once u learn it it stays with you for life.... Why do athletes keep on practicing even when theres no match ?
I've discovered that easing, using the animation speed graphs, good illustrations, and plugins are essentially what make motion graphics look really good

This is something I need to do! I know enough to make the things I want to make, but only knowing these surface level skills really holds me back when creating new projects.
If you wouldn't mind, I am having a small issue with one of my current projects and being able to bounce ideas on how to fix it with someone else would be awesome.
I know I'm 2 years late, but did you ever find a solution? With bad ADHD unless I have very clear and concise goals it's near impossible for me to focus so while I'm proud of myself for watching the tutorial and, like you said, know surface level suff, once the video is done I'm literally like ".....okay, now what?" I think I'm going to copy his list of goals for 30 days and try to do the same!

Hey! Found you through reddit and really appreciate what you've done here. Do you have any tips for someone just getting acclimated with AE? Would really like to dive deep and become a master!
Sounds awesome man! I would just say don’t worry about learning everything about AE right out of the gate and just focus on learning one skill or effect at a time. The best way to learn After Effects is to honestly just watch a lot of TH-cam tutorials. Everything I’ve learned from AE has come from TH-cam tutorials. Best of luck to ya!

Hey, did you use only After Effects to make these animations? Or you also used other softwares like Illustrator, Photoshop or blender? Also, did you use any plugin or something to make these, or is it pure after effects only?
And my last question is, how many hours you actually put in learning this? For example, if you put 1hr daily, that means you learnt it in just 30 hours, not 30 days. So, I can complete it in 6 days only by giving 5 hrs daily? So how many actual hours did you put in mastering AE?

Hey! I’m glad you liked it. I’d already been using after effects before I started this challenge so I wasn’t learning from scratch.
For the first 10 days or so, I tried to give myself only an hour to finish each project each day but as each day got more complex, I abandoned that. By the end, I was taking upwards of 4 hours to complete each day.
And yeah, this is all just pure after effects. No plug-ins or other software was used.

same here been using it for about a month now.. but im not that good as u are... i would say once u know the program.. u can do everything with tutorials and presets ... since i made a few 3d animations i def want to learn blender now :D:D

How come 3d modelling ? Ae does 3d MODELLING ???? I know it does 2.5d and 3d spaces....but....
How much hour you spent in a day ??
I tried to make each day's project more complex than the last.
The first 10 days or so I gave myself a time limit of about an hour to complete each one. After about the 10 day mark, I was regularly having to take longer than an hour to complete each one so I abandoned the time limit.
By the end, I was spending a couple hours on each one.
