yes if you buy 4-1, you have to buy ELRS module that will plug in the back. if you buy ELRS version radio and need 4-1, then you need to buy 4-1 module that will plug in the back.
Thanks for the very, in depth account of the Boxer. I have only just started to try FPV after a couple of years using DJI drones, flying VLOS. I have bought the Boxer and the Ranger Micro. How do I get the Ranger Micro to work with the Boxer please? I was advised to buy the Ranger Micro with an FPV Whoop connecting on ELRS. Thanks
one of the reasons i never happened to like ELRS is because their complexity of setup when you start with them. if you can finish the first steps right, still there are just too many updates to do on rx and tx often. but again this is how it goes. you have to have elrs configurator on your pc, then connect your elrs module to pc, run configurator, make sure to find your module model in the list and update the firmware, put in a pass phrase or name phrase that is a unique name so your elrs module will talk to your receivers only (Sigh!), then you power on the receiver, bind to module and upgrade recevier firmware over wifi (if your rx has wifi connectivity). after that your tx and rx are now use able. now you plug your module to the back of radio you power on the radio and choose external rx, with tbs crossfire protocol then you install your rx in your drone, bind and fly. if your drone already have rx. after binding you update firmware too (Sigh) and then you are able to fly. the initial setup has to be done right or else you will go bald due to headaches it will give you LOL. but if you do right, next steps just happen over wireless connection easily. I may just get into RC Airplanes or FPV airplanes once again and if i do, i will bring out my ELRS modules maybe. all the above does sound initimidating but when you start doing it, you will find the process goes very smooth. but its THE PROCESS to follow first time.

The Edge TX Companion has downloaded and I have backed up my SD Card but that is as far as I can go at the moment.
@@stevemartin2274 see thats the problem. these software are just too much issue. wish they made it the way it was before. buy a module, install it, bind it and use it. no need any configuration. but don't know why they made it just too complicated.
Thanks for you reply. I have managed to get the configurator installed on my laptop. It was being prevented before by the windows firewall. I will start having a look to see if l can work out how to get the firmware updated now and maybe get the module working with the boxer. 🤞

Do you have a setup video on how to bind and setup this radio with Goosky S2. I have been having trouble finding good setup info. I have something wrong with my setup, and know I missed something. Flew mine yesterday, went backwards when I got up in the air. Landed but crashed a little and broke a few parts. :( It was off a little in the sim.. and shouldn't have tried to fly it. I'm guessing I need to join to access the video? Thanks!
Sorry Ali I am the wrong side of 75 and I haven't got a clue on trying to send a video, but I have noticed if set up ATT on my other 450 2.5 it's flashing red as if no signal. Sorry I have tried thanks for the feedback.
I would very much appreciate a video showing how to setup a helicopter like the one you did previously for OpenTX on the TX16S. I tried doing it on my TX16S with EdgeTX and it's pretty close, but there some differences I'd like to have some help with.
Hi Ali would you mind giving me some advice, I purchased a fly wing 450 2.5 helicopter from Motion rc on 17th of April, I have tried to get it to work with no success, so I bought one from China and there's no problem, on the other one, I have to reverse channel 1 to get the servos to work do you think it's the recver or the H1 controller I have tried the transmitter from the good one and its still the same, can you help please. 🙏
Man I know this is an old post but I'm trying to find a radio that does it all for my quads and planes....I want the max but it's only offered in a elrs so I was gonna get a 4in module but it's cheaper to get the 4in1 and buy a elrs module but not for the max version 😢 so I might get the colored boxer and get a 4in1 and get a elrs module so I can fly everything 😁 whats your thoughts alishanmao?
well, max version is just pimped up gimbals and colored parts. I suggest get standard version, 4-1, get an ELRS module later when you need it and those pimped up parts (later if you need them) i used the standard version and I loved it. it was absolutely no issues at all. now i am using TX16S Max edition and to be honest if you are not a pro competing pilot of some sort, the max editions are really just a matter of showing off lookie lookie ma i have a pimped up version. So get the standard: bit.ly/rmboxertx (use our link, commission we earn supports our channel) and use it. until unless you really think you need those pimped up parts. and upgrade is straight forward.

yes if you have ELRS version, you need 4-1 module, if you have 4-1 version and you need elrs, then you can add ELRS module
