  • I show you guys my experience with the Cobb tune. I share my thoughts, the accessport itself, the features, and how it has transformed the car. For those who stuck around til the end, I did a little exhaust clip in the parking garage :)

    I just installed stage 1 tune today. How do I get all the gauges like you have on yours? Right now it's only showing 1. Also did you have to give your Ecoboost a few drive arounds to get the ECU to fully calibrate it?

    • @JVette01
      @JVette01  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you're on the gauge screen, you click up til you get to the arrow. Click that, and I think the option for "configure gauges" is on there, and you can select up to 6. Usually after driving around for about 15-20 minutes lets it fully calibrate.

    Ok i know i'm gonna sound like a noob for asking this...well I am: That nifty little trick you did, when you held the Left paddle down and had traction control off. I have never tried that and want to. Is that something you can only do after you install a tune from the accessport??? I plan to get this nifty thing too and try the Stage 1 93 octane tune sometime in the future.

    • @JVette01
      @JVette01  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you enable the feature through the accessport. Stock does not have that. I like foot braking it better tbh it’s more of a party trick if you wanna do a big burnout

      @@JVette01 What is foot braking?

    • @JVette01
      @JVette01  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Foot braking (also called brake torquing) is when you press the brake down hard, and use the gas to "load" the transmission up to a certain rpm to launch it. Check out my "How fast can you go in reverse" video, I do it at the end.

      @@JVette01 Be careful brake torquing because you can break loose a motor mount, on older cars and trucks that was not pretty because when the left motor mount would break the engine would lift and the fan would destroy the fan shroud and sometimes damage the radiator.

    This is what i'm getting next! I'm going to try the Stage 1 93 tune. I see you did Stage 1 91. How different is it compared to normal drive to sport mode (S)? Most videos I see say normal mode (D) becomes basically just like S.
    You think it increases your 0-60 time?

    • @JVette01
      @JVette01  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember correctly, it makes your throttle response better. It will increase your 0-60 if you get good traction. If you spin on the stock tune, this will spin more.
