    This was a great tutorial. I can see however WHY they were so beat up when you look at the callous way in which he is just tossing EVERYTHING around and dropping stuff throughout the video.

    I found an old pair of HD 600 tossed out by the curb, with some snow on them. Curious and in the market for a good open-backed pair, I dusted the snow off and dried them out on the rad. The pads are a mess, but they still play just fine! So thanks to your clear guide here, I’m off to order new pads online and I’m rocking the second R of the three Rs of eco: reuse!

    Brilliant! Mine didn't have any sound on the right side, so dismantled as you showed and realised the driver part had moved and wasn't making contact with the cable. So now working! Thank you! Just need to get rid of the wiffy sweaty smell! BAAARF!

    When clicking in the foam, you mention pushing the sides.
    What people need to know is u try to push in the innercircle and not the Side.
    And when pushing in the innercircle. Watch out not to dent the mesh on the out Side.
    And if you dent it you can easily take of the mesh. Bij pushing from the inside with a little tooth Pick Like shape. Take off the ear padding and inside foam. Then you Will see holes. Poke threu the hole so you dont have to prie the sides.

    I had an issue with a hair buzzing against the diaphragm too, couple of years ago. So good I tried cleaning them first before replacing.

      Yeah, when I had that I really thought a driver had blown or been damaged. It sounded terrible! Amazing what a bit of a clean and some TLC will do! :)

    I have a HD600. Each speaker can be rotated relative to the headband by several degrees. The headphones fell from my desk to the floor, the height was low, and the floor was not too hard and, at first glance, I did not find any damage. However, later I noticed that one speaker turned, as if too tight (sometimes even a little creaking), and the other, as if too loose (I want to tighten it). Questions:
    1. Should the speakers turn slightly tight or loose?
    2. Does anyone know how to disassemble and adjust the connection of the headband and the speaker mount frame (I don't know how else to call it)?

    be careful with the third party ear pad replacements, i just needed to replace the foam which should cost about 30 cents but the third party foam that I read reviews about is not of the same thickness and they will muffle the sound. I know it's stupid spending 50$ to replace the pads but I'm happy I did, and after changing the pads I'll admit I'm happy I did because the other ones were dirty and discolored, they were functional but these look new and make the headphones look like what they're worth

    I can't stick it. It does't clicking. I has original pads and chinese ones and both don't placed in position. It falling out all the time when I take headphones in hands. I push hand enough, but I scary to put more strength. Pads just don't stuck in place. Is it has some holding parts that can crashed out apart ? Weird.

    the headpiece snapping is a manufacturing fault. had that too only 2-3 years after gentle usage. Sennheiser replaced it for free.

      @@Isurusofficial - I just replaced the earpads on mine too, but they aren't as nice as the originals. It's memory foam inside these, and they feel heavier and denser, and it does have an affect on the sound, in a negative way. Maybe I should have gone with the originals even though they would have been $50 more.

    • @Isurusofficial
      @Isurusofficial  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm.. must be different to the ones I got, the foam in mine is fairly light and not stiff foam.
