John Deere Fuel Gauge Fix

How to fix a fuel gauge that reads too high on a John Deere tractor. Should work on all machines that use LVA10560 for a cluster. This includes 4200, 4210, 4300, 4310, 4400, 4410, 4500, 4510, 4600, 4610, 4700, 4710. May or may not work on others models.

What if it doesn’t read full when it is actually full?

you can adjust the float on the sending unit. take the fuel cap off and reach into the tank with a long pair of needle nose pliers and pull up (gently) on the float arm. When pulling up if you can get the gauge to read full then you can adjust the float arm. The float arm can be adjusted by removing the sending unit from the tank.

Where they 1/4 or 1/2w resostors? Does it matter?
