The adult animated Netflix series is set in a fantastical universe and will use interview clips from the podcast.

It was roughly 10 years ago.. I was driving to a small lake with my then 12 year old daughter, on a hot summer afternoon, in a most wholesome Utah town ..listening to public radio when a beautiful (very earthy American) song came on and it started out with "Pour Pour me another drink and punch me in the face"... I was immediately smitten. Fear Fun is the only album I've ever bought (in fact I bought 2 and still have one wrapped in plastic), but I've listened to and absorbed every song since. Saw him live once..was entertained but not blown away. In my opinion he' comes off as slightly pretentious, but most artists do. I love the song writing, the voice, inflection, irony, sarcasm and moodiness. If he were a woman...he'd be one of those women that have horrible PMS-the type where everyone knows when they're on their period.. I just feel that. Anyway.. I wish more people knew about his music and the one who do know.. I wish they'd take most of it as light hearted and tongue in cheek as I think (I think) it's meant to be. BTW..if ya haven't heard his version of The Flaming Lips "Do you realize" you're missing out.. it's perfection-- same with Leonard Cohens "Anthem".
