There will always be just one Stevie Ray Vaughan as a jimmy Hendrix. But the sound and equipment makes you want to play. Got to have that sound. The man could play in his sleep and probably did he lived a breathed guitar played with Albert king I mean how lucky and cool was that . The action on his guitar you were lucky to slip a players card between the strings and frets was perfect action again then the Texas specials he used very hot tone running thru the amps he used was a perfect marriage anybody could appreciate and many followed . RIP
@@gregoryashumate848 He used a very high action and 12-13 gauge strings for a very aggressive and percussive playing style like Jimi. That lends a lot to his unique tone.
it's actually ridiculous how well you play SRV songs, there aren't many people that can replicate it the way you do
It was a sad day, but a great day when I finally accepted that I would never be able to get anywhere near playing like that. Finally I was free. I thank my lucky stars that I can play at all and now I focus on my strengths. Well done, my friend, you have a gift. Amazing.

I’ve watched a lot of guitar videos and SRV covers on TH-cam and this is by far the best, most accurate, most memory-jolting tone I’ve ever heard.
There are a ton of SRV-like guys that can cover his stuff pretty well......but this cat is top of the tree. The way the music just flows out of him sets him apart and is reminiscent of the original one and only. His sense of dynamics, feeling, timing and most notably his right hand are sensational. He's just got it......warms my heart to watch/hear him play.

@@seanmannguitar You’re welcome man. I’m nowhere near as.. hmm, smooth I guess as you with my playing? Or knowledgeable about a lot of the different chords Stevie uses as rhythm inbetween his lead, but as far as being able to pick licks out, I’ve got most of them down honestly. I’m 29 and I’ve been playing guitar for 19 years, specifically Stevie’s music for about 16 and there’s still so much I’ve yet to figure out or discover. I’ve got a few mediocre videos on my channel of me playing almost 10 years ago if you want to check me out 😅 but like I said, it’s nowhere near your quality or level. Once again if you don’t reply, thank you so much for the content, you really do provide the best SRV content. 🔥

Guitar pickguard is white instead of black, guitar body lacquer is intact, tremolo arm in the wrong place, no Dumble amp (kidding), but what a jaw dropping performance! I've seen hundreds of SRV covers, but only handful of them deserve to be called true to the original. Yours included! Bravo!
