I'm so excited for new players to get into DA. I want to encourage new players to give the older games a chance. Realize that the gameplay and graphics are dated, but if story and characters are your priority then playing the games in order is worth it.
I am currently playing through DAO and planning to go through all of them. I am enjoying it so much and I am excited for everyone trying out Dragon Age. Its such a great series! Looking forward to Veilguard.
I think Fenris has earned a cameo in The Veilguard, I’d love to see him and Isabela again and I feel it makes sense for them to be in the areas we’ll get to see
@@ThatFont people have a lot of theories about who the leaders of the factions will be and some think Fenris = Shadow Dragons, Isabela = Lords of Fortune. Buuuut i dont wanna hope too much.
A "mostly negatively experience" is a hilarious way to describe Fenris being a slave 😅 also, great video by the way! Dragon Age Origins is my second favorite game of all time, right behind Mass Effect 2, so I really appreciate the coverage
As someone who played hundreds (possibly thousands) of hours on the trilogy these are my advises to people that are just getting into it: 1. Dont be afraid to mod the game! - DA:O have amazing story but the visuals and combat could be a bit outdated. I highly recommend the following mods for DA:O - Character respecialization (since the original doesnt give the player any option to relocate their stats and skills until Awakening DLC this one can be a life savior for people who want to test out new builds without sacrificing their playtime); Improved Atmosphere (general improvement of the visuals); Faster combat/Combat tweaks (as i said, DA:O can feel kinda slow in combat so this one is a must if you dont want your 2h warrior to do 1 hit every 10 seconds); Dog slot (we all want our favorite Barkspawn to be with us always but theres always some other companion that will outshine him. This mod will allow you to summon the dog in a separate slot...) 2. While DA2 is often criticized it serves as a good transition and connection to everything in the other 2 games 3. DA:I is a bit full of fetch quests. Dont focus on them... or do - its your play. Just dont forget when you feel stuck to just progress the main story a bit. It will level you faster and get you closer to the build you want to play 4. Some mods that i think are very beneficial for DA:I - War table - No waiting time Also this might come as a slight spoiler but just as in DA:O a certain origin connects directly to Hawke's family (the player character's family from DA:2) some backgrounds in Inquisition offer unique dialogue and connections such as Dwarf Inquisitor being of the same family as Shale from DA:O, or playing as elven mage or Qunari... they all provide some connection to the world we already know And for those who still cant get into the older visuals or style of DA:O and DA2 - you can still use the Keep to build your world as if you played the games
@@hugofourie1193 if you play the darkspawn chronicles dlc you can see in the end that the Warden named their dog Barkspawn. Its kinda cannon name of the mabari

Great video! I agree with basically everything! DA:O has a special place in my heart though, since it was the first Dragon Age game I ever played. And I love that it has such good replayability thanks to the origin system. But thank you for speaking so well about all those games. I've seen so many people talk trash about Origins and DA2 because of graphics, when all I care about is the story! New subscriber here! 🎉
I prefer DAO to the other games, but I'm a bit older so that's probably to be expected. I still enjoyed all three games for what they were. Let's hope DAVe can also find its place in the franchise.
First TIme playing DA and decided to get Inquisition for free :D ABSOLUTELY making sure I am not missing a mission. Took me 20 hours for act 1 and was like "That's it". Then realized there is an act 2. I don't understand the hate. Can anyone help me build a pc? AMD 5th gen. gonna be buying soon
The Cast I have to say in Inquision is my least favorite by far. Cassandra I liked but besides her maybe the fake warden. I never had a full party of people I actually wanted with me in the game. It really sucked. I wish you could take Liliana or Morrigan around in the party
I am not really sure what you are talking about at the end. I played a human and was constantly playing as a non believer. Which race are you implying is a believer
@@DarknessFlameMedia ahhh you're right that not all humans have to believe in the Chantry. I was speaking more out of the fact that many of the human nations are majority Chantry believers.
Origins made me hate the templars and Dragon age 2 made me a lot less of a supporter. If Morrigan was not a mage I would probably just write them off. But she is meh waifu I hope my Gray Warden come backs to be with her
