A lot of my own issues with Inquisition is fixed through mods. I think if they just remove grinding for tier 3 material and fade touched material, SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the amount of skulls, made enemies drop less garbage and made weapon/armor rewards better than crafted stuff, the game would feel a lot better. But vanilla the game just has too much needless busywork when the real game is chatting up your companions/advisors in Skyhold, the main quest and the "main parts" of each zone. But just being in Skyhold, chatting up Iron Bull as a bard sings a wonderful song related to the story, the game really peaks. The game feels ginormous, there are SO MANY cutscenes with your allies, so many comments they'll make on this and that. The world feels gargantuan and realized. Just bogged down because of certain mechanics.

You know this is my favorite game of all time, nearly up to 1000 hours on it, and I can't say I ever really thought of the theme of 'faith' being that one word theme summary probably because they do such a good job of showing it and not telling it but you are right a lot of the character motivations are surrounded by faith.

It won game of the year in 2014 so yeah it was a great game.

Good for you, I thought it was average at best, couldn't bring myself to play more than a few hours.

I bought this game an the Witcher 3 while it was on sale an didn’t touch it for 2 months lol but man once I finally played it I instantly fell in love with the game, especially coming fresh off the Witcher it had the same vibe… minus the monsters lol everything to the music, gameplay, and world building was absolutely fantastic, I didn’t think much of it when I bought it but now it’s easily one of my top favourite games. Also loved the Witcher Easter egg you can find in the game lol

Origins was a masterpiece. 2 was worse and Inquisition was borderline unplayable due to practically removing all of the tactical play. This looks like yet another downgrade and simplification - not only in the context of gameplay but writing as well. I will definitely not be playing this. Of course politically and ideologically I disagree with some of the stuff contained in it too. You can attack me over it but I have my own opinions and I'm sticking to them regardless of what anyone says.

Not especially looking forward to that game tbh. Was REALLY looking forward to it, but the last few trailers made me want to not play the game. DA was a dark fantasy story, now it's all cuddly and colorful, the devs, shown in some of their videos, don't even know the characters of the past games. That alone makes me feel that the game will probably be very inconsistent with the past games storylines. Maybe I'll get it once it hits barging bin, but sadly it doesn't look like it's worth full price for me. Probably it'll become a 2nd Concord situation with this one.

When it completely fails I will laugh, then in like 5 years, I will mod the woke shit out of it and play it for free. F Bioware.

I loved Origins, couldn't get into Inquisition. I have mixed feelings about Veilguard. It looks too colorful for Dragon Age. I'd prefer it if it was more gritty. And the faces so far look pretty bland from the character creator. Hopefully that's just a subset of what's possible.

I loved origins and i loved inquisition. Though the ending of inquisition felt super rushed.... the veilguard looks bad. Hopefully im wrong but i think im going to hate it based on what i have seen.

Nice review. I recommend playing Johanka's part of Woman's Lot DLC - it is one of my favourite questlines in any RPG. The Theresa part is pretty good too although there is one annoying part (having to find some herbs) where I recommend a guide, it can be frustrating without it. Regarding masterstrike, there is a mod that basically removes it from both player and enemies, and it makes the combat shine since you can actually do the combos without getting masterstriked all the time. KCD2 will have this reworked too.

Yess I love da2 combat as well so I'm so excited!! I was really unsure what faction to choose but now that we have some more information on the backstories associated with the different ones I'm leaning heavily towards mourn watch as well👀being found by undead as a baby sounds so cool. I'm also so curious about our wardens lmao, at this point I'm headcanoning my warden and alistair on their way to their calling already..rip guys (the romance NEEDS to get more tragic)

So many thoughts after seeing the new footage today. I'm hearing a lot of opinions on both sides, but I decided to take a four-day weekend following the release of the game to shut the rest of the world out and experience the story for myself and let my own raw feelings speak for themselves after finishing the game. As for my first playthrough, I've played as a every other race in each of the previous games so this time around I am going to be Dwarf protagonist. This works well because I have wanted to romance Lace Harding since DAI and this is a perfect excuse shake things up. I am going dual-wield like always and my background will be Lords of Fortune. I am holding out for hope and keeping my fingers crossed that I get to make plenty of evil choices 🤞🏿😈

I got this less then 24 hours after finishing my first playthrough! I need to do one more ending before I'm risking spoilers so I'll watch in full in a few hours lol (it's such an amazing game it's both subtle yet on the nose)

i think we all have a list of games we played that werent actually good but we thought we good at the time lol. its hard to keep those games through moving, shifting console generations and just the passage of time. unfortunately. i have no idea where my game boy advance games are atm. probably gone.

Finally someone who knows Omori, i really love this game

It took me a while to get into this game but once I got into it I was HOOKED, it was so nice to be immersed in a world that once existed, to feel what life was like back then, it was awesome and I cannot WAIT for the second one. I can really feel the heart and passion that was put into this game.

I just finished the first Somnium Files last night, such a great game. The physical was really expensive though. I have Nirvana initiative as well, but I'm going to wait a while to play it
