I’ve powder coated my aluminum frame and it looked sick for about 5 rides, then it starts to wear from your boots and where your knees rub the frame and it doesn’t look so great. Keep it brushed! You’ll be happier in the long run! Love these vids, keep up the good work Adam!
Hell yeah, finally something other than a CR build. These yamaha frames are dope. You can go from 06 plastics to the 13'-18' without modding anything (same frame)
That mag wheel cleaner and scotch brite works so good! Do yourself a favor before you coat the clamps. Drill a hole in them and the top nut. I could NOT get mine to stay tight with the recommended torque even w loctite. So I safety wired it to the top clamp. Solved my problem. Cant wait to see how it turns out
Nice job but if u want the frame and sub frame look. Like chrome get a die grinder polish wheel and some jewelers rudge it will look amazing instead of powder coat and after u polish it get some clear coat in a can spray it to keep it looking good
I agree Honda has better looking frames than Yamaha, i say leave it factory! I've seen some that doesn't look so good after 6 or 7 hard rides. Great videos Adam I'm looking for to seeing the next one.
no alloy free looks good powder coated keep it polished it'll look a lot better when its around all the new clean parts that will go in the bike begging you to keep it polished
Man I gotta tell you, these videos are getting super pro, filming, editing, your work all on another level! Great production and my opinion is you should powdercoat the frame because I agree it doesn’t look as good as the Honda! 😂
Adam keep up the content brohta...... how long you been TUBE'N for ????? It looks like just a little over a year, with a great choice by the way to start your channel off, it looks like it was the CR125.... I have an 00' cr 250 and a 02' cr 125 that my son and I will be building together.....its crazy how big the 2 stroke market is on the older bikes... keep it up brotha, love the hustle!!!! from DFW, TX!!!!
Powdercoat looks good when brand new but looks terrible soon as it starts to wear, its so noticable, at least with brushed aluminium look all u need is to go over with a scotchbrite again.
I think powder coating would be good. It would clean easier, it won't stain like bare aluminum does and it could enhance the overall look of the bike. But don't do black. Everyone does black, and in reality, it's overdone! Do a little pre-planning and decide what the graphics will look like and color schemes will be for plastics, graphics, seat and any other parts you will be powder coating. Separate yourself from the "average" build, be creative!
@@adampaganelli4891 I grew up in the 70's and 80's and Yamaha will always be black and yellow to me, even though I like the current blue. I liked the red and white look as well. If you are going to do a WR transmission sway, you could make an IT look to it. Or, you could take it in a completely different direction. You're the artist and the YZ is your canvas.
definitely coat the frame, like white or black. Bare alu sliver is on every bike and is just generic. When you already went through the trouble of a deep clean, might as well coat it
I agree for sure. The only thing holding me back is that if it chips it’s not repairable without tearing down the bike. Thanks for watching the series🤟🏼
What do you guys think, should I leave the frame brushed alluminum or get it powder coated?
Adam Paganelli leave it brushed.

I have a feeling there's going to be a ufo plastic kit on the bike

I agree with you! I was thinking of maybe doing something to throw the bike back to the older YZs

Why would you cut the oem reusable zip ties.
Brushed frame!!
Leave it brushed aluminum
You should rebuild a 80cc Honda 2stroke
No powder coat...I love my 07 yz when it's polished up
Don't need to power coated it just paint it the same color
Definitely powder-coat
Nice
Powder coat the frame graphite black
Your videos have a huge flaw, they end...
Haha😂 glad you’re enjoying the series!
This the best comment
Before you said powder coat I thought you should powder coat.
I am from indonesia
Powdercoat!
Requase yz 450 adam
Don’t powder it!!!! When you ride it will chip and show the silver underneath
Blue or black powder coat for me but looks good either way. Good progress so far looking forward to more👍
Yeah, I agree you can’t go wrong with either of those colors. I’m glad you’re enjoying the series🤟🏼
Wrinkle black powder coating would look nice
That does sound pretty sick👌🏼
powder it with a metallic silver
yer powder coat the frame it will look so much better
How did. Did you know that ? By Jasperwrath not make this. Give it a TH-cam listen.
Yes powder coat it yellow or lime green or neon orange
definitely coat the frame, like white or black. Bare alu sliver is on every bike and is just generic. When you already went through the trouble of a deep clean, might as well coat it
Powder coat it
powder coat it black
Brushed..
Don't coat the frame, it is nice as it is
What happened to your channel??
OMG, it is a dirt bike not a mirror, ride the damn thing.
Tr
powered coat it pink
Lol
Powder coat the frame and swing arm black! It’ll stay looking nicer for much longer. And yz frames are just kinda ugly when bare
I agree for sure. The only thing holding me back is that if it chips it’s not repairable without tearing down the bike. Thanks for watching the series🤟🏼
Adam Paganelli throw some Acerbis frame guards on there and I doubt you will have any issues!
The video is great but you do too much, you’ll never make any money if you do that to all your bikes
I’m not trying to make money on this bike! I am building this as a race bike. Glad you’re enjoying the series🤟🏼
Powder coat it
