His opening is bad for queen side castleing but anand made queen side castle and force to make black to queenside castle which is not give bigger advantage due to his black opening. So black struggled 🤔🤗
Can someone explain to me why at 14:10 Karjakin takes Anand's pawn with his knight, rather than take Anand's bishop with his pawn? Wouldn't he want to take the more powerful piece and he can protect pawn from promoting with his rook?
First of all, note that Karjakin has better pawn structure at one side while Anand has that on the other side. Now Pawn takes bishop was not played because it would have disrupted Karjakin's pawn structure thereby giving Anand an upper hand with his pawns on the other side of the board, making one of them a potential queen. Dispite taking a more powerful piece, Karjakin would have never been able to develop a Queen from any of his pawns while Anand could have
@@vedantbhatt88 you explain position very well but if pawn take bishop then simply white rook take black knight. And when super gm one pawn up then exchange of pieces increase their chances of losing the game

Karajakin was in an inferior position very early. He advanced that a-pawn too soon too far and then castles queenside where Anand’s pieces became extremely coordinated on his queenside king position.
Anand could have won the match ...he had advantage ......I think he should have defended the kingside using the rook instead of pushing the pawn in the queen side...there were counter attack in kingside which could have been neutralized....

Vishy is 50, he's not the same player that he used to be some 10-15 years ago. That old Vishy could have easily challenged Carlsen in Blitz and classical formats. He was too strong then. Now, he seems to be mostly playing for fun.
Amazing that Anand wasn’t able to win this, he had an advantage very early and Karjakin struggled the whole game
But stil manage to settle on draw
karjakin isn't called minister of defense for nothing

i and my homie would have played for another half an hour from where they drew :D :D
😆
Coz it's drawn by repetition.
Anand is clearly winning and is ahead in time. If it's a classical game Karjakin would've resigned already.

If he takes Bishop , Anand takes Knight with tempo.
@@vedantbhatt88 That makes a lot of sense - thank you.

Can you add a board from the white's perspective to these videos ? It's hard to understand the position from beside.
