Taco Stacks & I bought an abandoned storage unit for $100. Is it all trash or is there any treasure?? #storagelockers #storagewars Follow me on Instagram @paperandmoose

I do not know how you two do it when making individual episodes with the same storage unit or sale, but the episodes are still unique. I like it when you both work together - good banter but again both individual.
Renee, I wouldn’t fret over if you made your money back. I just watched Taco and what y’all find at the beginning clearly covers your costs. Great video! We love see you and Taco doing stuff together!
Folded pieces of paper in pants, wallets, purses etc is common in developmentally disabled and people with mental health conditions. My special needs son always has pieces of papers in his wallet and pants pockets. For him he feels important with them and also it comforts him to have his “important personal papers” with him. Love seeing you and taco working together.
I thought perhaps it was also a type of hoarding. I wonder if the person just switched pants when the pockets got to a certain fullness, as they hadn’t appeared to go through a washing machine because the papers were still intact.
Taco successfully washed many & was able to get some stains out. Sadly the Tweety Bird sweatshirt was not able to be cleaned… soaked for hours, a variety of cleaning products were used, but nope. We tried!
Renee, i have been following you since WAY back. Your channel is growing so fast! Keep doing what you're doing. Even the worst lockers are interesting!
I only recently came upon your channel and have been binging many of your videos from the years you've been online. I find them interesting and they help me calm down while I'm mourning the loss of my dear father. I find it comforting exploring the past through paper and vintage items. I'm rather new to reselling, although my Mom and I had many a garage sale growing up. She also found many cool items that people tossed out and she'd repurpose the things that she found. I think that's partly why your videos resonate with me. I went to an estate sale yesterday that had tons of what I'd call bric-a-brac. Stashed away in the bar area, I came across an old photo album, an album of postcards and an album filled with 1950's greeting cards. They only charged me $5 for each album. The photo album is a real treasure filled with farming photos, men in military uniforms, family photos and old football photos dating back to 1919. Normally I would never have looked at items like this, but I think viewing so many of your videos now, I have definitely been influenced. Just wanted to thank you for your content; it's been very beneficial to me.
@MsEpilady, I'm very sorry about the loss of your father. Keep watching Renee' and Taco. Renee is a very positive person. She complains a little, but not like some TH-camrs. I've really enjoyed her videos over the years. She will cheer you up some!
@@sand3882 Thank you. Yes, Renee seems quite different from the other TH-camrs I watch, so I'm happy to have found her; I guess sometimes the TH-cam algorithm does work.
There is always the possibility that you and Taco Stacks will say no to the next $100 storage unit, and you will hear that it was loaded with Pyrex, vintage clothing, old photos, P-Burg stuff and boxes of ephemera. It swings both ways. This one wasn't the best, but you donated a lot, found a few bits and cleaned out a good size storage unit for the company. And you both have the story that goes with it.
"Here's a quarter - call someone who cares!" Ha. Before that, you used to be able to "drop a dime on somebody." Now what do we say? Where does Superman change? So, doesn't seem like it was the best unit - unless you've saved some surprises for the next video. But you have to have these kinds of buys for the stories. You are a terrific story teller - this is grist for the mill. Helps in finding humor that you're becoming better established all the time and you're not dependent on profit from every single buy. Thanks for sharing this story - don't let Taco be too critical. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Thanks for sharing this story and hope you have fabulous Saturday. Also hope you will be sharing some great time with your Mom tomorrow - or will have a mondo cool time at whatever you've got planned (I'm not sure I'm remembering all the '80s slang just right). PS I read the Northern Lights were visible up your way in a rare display last night - did you see them? I've seen them once - surreal!
I woke up around 3am and took a look outside... clouds. I saw a very, very faint coloring of a purple-ish green, but perhaps that was from still being in a half-asleep state. We had cloud coverage for the eclipse, cloud coverage to the Northern Lights, and now rain again tomorrow on flea market day. The weather needs to get with the program! Haha. I think we might be able to see a portion of the Lights again tonight, so perhaps it will be better weather. The next video on this unit should be out on Tuesday... can't have you all getting too excited to see what could be hiding in all of those jean pockets! I will never again feel compelled to bid on a unit because I can see a vintage Pyrex bowl - lesson learned! Though I did come away with that Phillipsburg Mall bag, a true treasure since the bulldozers are busy knocking the mall down. Hope the rest of your Saturday is a good one!
Well i hope the Pyrex wasn’t broken, i just found another big yellow bowl at a yard sale for $2. It was in nicer condition than the one i have so I’m keeping it and going to sell my old one. 🤷🏼♀️
It may not be the best unit you've bought. But you'll get the job done. Then you and Taco can go out for a nice dinner and just laugh it off and plan your next adventure. Love you and great video Renee.
I do not know if you and Taco did well or not with this unit. But I know both of you made a enjoyable video of the cleaning out process. The two of you make a good couple working together, just like you and Tony.
Yup...not every storage locker can be a cash cow. 🐮You got a decent amount of change, a girl´s bike, some fancy shirts (a Phillippsburg one !), a mall bag from the same location and huge piles of paper. Just imagine how much you would have paid on ebay for these two local items. Perhaps forty bucks ?! So, not that bad for part one of this storage war video ! Just let Timothy invite you for a nice dinner and some drinks, and more luck next time. 🤞And have a wonderful weekend, by the way ! 🌄 Greets from GER, U.
Apparently this person loved paper too, just in the form of receipts & little folded notes. Guess we all have to save something! Add it to the list of interesting storage units that always leave us with the question of “Why did they store this?” Hope that your Saturday has gone well! The sun is finally out here, but rain again tomorrow. Let’s hope for better weather next weekend!
You guys are so fun together. You should have had Tommy help. LOL Crazy the folded and little bits of paper are so weird. "What caused that stain? Do you think we can get it out?" LOL
You and Taco work so well together. Do you live near each other ? What an interesting unit - so many clothes, and all the paper and change in the pockets and bags. Did you count up all the change ? Great video Renee, looking forward to you going through all the stuff in more detail. Thanks for taking us along - take care 🙂
Renée, I have had good luck washing used leather purses with towels. You might want to try washing some of the purses you find. If they fall apart, you really aren't out anything. If the purse is well made, it should stand up. This unit looked like a stinky mess. Please let us know what the change totals. Hope it pays for your supper. 😊😊😊
Now...for YOUR side of this story! Little pennies...make big bucks! I have dibs on any fr-g finds!! (not squished dead ones, though)! In order not to be repetitious, just check out Taco's side of this adventure! Looks like shower and tea time for you, capping off a day clothed in clothes!
We actually found a frog - a real one! - when we were going through the boxes brought back to Taco's. He must have gotten lost on his way to the pond and found himself amongst the boxes. I was able to carefully get him picked up via a little dust pan and back to safety by the pond.
Better days will come your way, some units are very risky especially if you can't see much beforehand. Tick it off as a lesson learned and good luck with your next adventure 😊
❤👍That is how it goes sometimes, but "ya get what you get, and ya don't throw a fit." 🤔I believe that the pressure of saying yes to this unit, was stressful when trying to satisfy yourself and another person. 😘 Thank you so much for taking me along with you Renee❤
Hi Renee. This unit looked promising, but it did have some good clothes in it. Oh! At least you found change in the unit. This was fun. God Bless you Renee. HUGS 🤗. Mari'a. 🤗❤️🤗❤️👍👍👍👍👍🌺🌺🌺🌼🌼🌼🌸🌸🌸
Most of the stains on those shirts will come out by soaking in oxi wash. I’ve cleaned worse than what you showed and got the stains out. The trick is to let it soak for a few hours. That unit was very dirty by the evidence of it on your pink glove.
Instead of picking pieces here and there, why don't you start at the front and clean out bag by bag. And you need someone to hold the camera so you can go thru quicker.
Lock box: paper clip Straighten Fold in half (not fully, you want each corner to touch the outside of the lock body. Not the key way, the lock body) Squeeze it gently and insert all the way (Yes, i here how this sounds too) Insert a screwdriver (or similarly bladed tool) Apply turning force to the lock (in the open direction, cw) Rip the bent clip out Lock will turn
Soak in hot water with blue Dawn, spray it with oxiclean, and put awesome from Dollar Tree soak overnight. Then, scrub with brush. Get stain to start moving out before placing in washer.
Hello Renee. I told Taco now you check the money out you could find a million dollar penny . There are some that can fetch hundreds of dollars. Also silver coins can be worth some money. You never know what might happen. And maybe you’ll not make lots of money but you’ll make your money back and a little profit. You could have not bought it and the person that did could have made out. But you have to gamble on it to find out right. Take care and enjoy your weekend. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🫖☕️🫖☕️🫖☕️🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

That monopoly shirt is a knockoff, uncle penny moneybags is missing his monocle. Never seen him without a monocle lol
Storage locker clean outs are the best. But my one question to you is, would you rather being doing this or working back at the office doing 9-5?
Always enjoy your adventures. Tina, Al's wife
Welp, ya win some, ya lose some 😐
Are the two of them together?? She used the word we alot!! Luke they are a couple...
How do you and Taco split the goods? Or will you both sell the stuff online and at the flea market and then split the profits?
i have bought quite a few lockers and i would be very happy if none were worse than this. keep on keep[ng on.
Go through the change you find and you may have some old silver quarters and check the age of all of them

better than the medical records unit.
Let the cloths with stains soak in Oxy for a few hours or overnight.

I did walk away with a relic though - the Phillipsburg Mall bag! 🙂
@@PaperandMoose Yes, I forgot about that. I could see your excitement. 😃
USE OXI CLEAN
Don't bed bugs need a (blood) host to survive. Think after 90 days without blood feed, they will migrate or die out.
Soaking in Oxiclean should take out most of those stains in the clothes.
Please wear a mask in units littered with rodent droppings. They could be carrying the Hantavirus, which is not good! Better to be safe than sorry!
How do you and Taco divide the items?
wash that sweat shirt hot to get out actual dirt, then bleach it letting it soak for 1/2 hour. wont hurt the print at all. you cant do anything w/ it the way it is so cant hurt to try.
ps, dont dry it after washing. wet is good when bleaching something.
Ooooo! That looks gross!
I've seen much much worse! Unlike roadside picks the appliances in here probably work, so what? Microwave, heater, dryer, air conditioner?
