The battle to capture Ticonderoga from the British was one of the turning points of the fight for independence led by Benedict Arnold and Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys. We only seem to know Benedict Arnold as the traitor (he surely was) but without him, we may not have won independence. If you ever get a chance, please visit the fort and Saratoga National Park. btw both Arnold and Allen are CT born. Bonnie is a hoot and we need more Bonnie.
The fish tray is in the shape of a fish, has a fish mouth, but there is actually a bird on it and maybe that'a a frog eye there. The Steuben apple is worth about $500.

That elephant hippo clear glass lid was not on the correct base. It is part of a Jeanette glass piece. It would have been a good idea to pick it up as many times in the thrift stores the lids and bottoms show up. Then you can pair them together
I looked up the Jeanette glass with elephant lid. Some of the bottoms look similar to this base. But I couldn’t see enough detail in the clip. Good education for me. And fun research. Thx again.
If you haven't been to fort Ticonderoga, please do so. I think Andrew and Ashton would enjoy it. I have a very good friend who works there making the shoes and takes part in the teaching re-enactments. He also makes some uniforms. Xxx

The milk glass bowl does not look pressed, but cut. If it is cut glass it’s worth more. If it’s pressed it will have a seam.
