    All minority groups tend to stick together and help each other. I'm Tanzanian living in Europe, we are more of a close community here than back in TZ. It is a natural survival instict we human beings have.

    The proper way to address these is the Tanzanians of Asian origin that's what they prefer instead of saying most Indians, Pakistanis or Bangladeshis lives in this area.......These are Tanzanians by nationality that's why are allowed to participate in elections (to contest or voting). Majority of them born in Tanzania and possess Tanzanian passport.

    One big difference between Tanzania and other African countries is most of those high rises building are belong by Tanzanian government. Most of those Indians are tenants paying rent to Tanzania national housing

    In fact, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania is very beautiful, even some Arab countries do not reach the beauty of the city of Dar es Salaam.

    The government needs to demolish all of these old tired buildings, then expand street roads, city trains/trams, replace them with new skyscrapers, public open spaces such as parks, sewage systems, toilets, theatres, big performance venues, arenas, including playgrounds, green spaces, botanical gardens with large trees 🌳 to reduce pollution and hot weather!

    • @chai_r
      @chai_r วันที่ผ่านมา

      Why would they demolish “the old town”, where the buildings are historical? Have so sense of preservation.

    • @Ali-nl2du
      @Ali-nl2du วันที่ผ่านมา

      NO, NO, NO. You dont destroy historical buildings to replace them with monotonous all look alike soulless glass dressed structures. I went to school in these neighbourhoods and I still recognise the streets. It is our heritage, we should preserve it. Vunjavunja bila ya kutumia busara sio maendeleo, tutunze historia ya nchi yetu.

      Maybe to renovate them for cultural tourism. The only problem here is hanging electric cables

    Why is it that Dar is less busy

    • @explorewithbertin
      @explorewithbertin  วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It was sunday Evening. But Dar is spread also. There are specific areas where they are too busy. Like Kariakoo CBD, Mwenge, Mbezi, Mbagala, Bunju etc. The city centre on weekends is less busy sometimes deserted because people are either at home, at the beach or their neighborhoods. These streets on week days are busy
