Tip: If possible, try to gently clean out the condenser to remove dead bugs and dirt. It will help with AC and the radiator performance.

Love your channel and I've watched all your videos. The shop is great. My only point is that you don't clean like you use to. Not blowing the debris from the condenser, you're better than that. I know you can't do free repairs, etc of random stuff you see but blowing off that debris is 2 mins and not an extra repair. It's the right thing to do.
I learn so much from you.

I agree he should have hit with a can of brakeclean! Really a few skeletons of dried out bugs won’t hurt cooling performance to much to worry about. Others have said it’s stuffed and time to replace but seriously if you start that argument it’s probably time for a new car, but for all we know it maybe a car owned by a student or granny who can’t afford to replace the unit. Stop being ridiculous you guys!!!!😖😖

Back in the “old days”……Every town of any size had at least one Radiator Shop. The town I grew up in had two. This was back in the days of dinosaurs and shops that actually FIXED things. That radiator would have had the tanks removed and it would have been carefully rodded out. The leaks would have been located and repaired. After a fresh spray of shiny black paint the radiator would have been as good as new for a reasonable price! There was an Auto Electric Shop next door that REBUILT generators, alternators and starters. His rebuilds never failed and he took great pride in his work. He also had a mouth like an Army Drill Sergeant when things didn’t go well. Today, labor costs have created a throw away society I suppose.

Been doing this for 27 years and i come home and watch rainman on youtube. The kid is amazing. However i would invest and use what i call hose picks. Clocking the spring clamps is vital between leak and no leak. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with that also, but you cant risk getting water into an ac condenser becuse freon (name brand) turns into an acid if its mixed with water, even worse if its mixed with antifreeze.
The machine shop i worked at had to rebuild boilers in big buildings the kind the chill tower sits on the roof, the reason they need to be rebuild is water and freon mixed and ate the copper pipes. Acid eats copper thats how you separate gold off copper componets if your mining gold off computer parts. Acid won't eat gold just the copper.
Now most of a cars ac system is aluminum ecpt the pumps internal parts. Acid also corodes aluminum i belive. Im not really sure.
New ac componets are shipped with plugs in the connection points to keep humidity out, the system can deal with some water moisture the vacume process and oils take care of that,
Now you might think air hose but you can bend the fins that will do as much or more dammage as the bugs. Better to leave it alone.
You really should clean that off when its a sealed system, but this persons not really good with Preventing problems becuse the coolent in the radiator much have been bad to make the plastic parts crumble. You cant expect somthing you dont take care of to last, but by the same token I dont flush mine very often either. Who does? I think its been 5 years sence I changed my oil, but the car hasn't moved over 1k miles in 5 years. I had to buy new tires not becuse they were woren out. Becuse they were dry rotting from age.

Spray some lubricant will help slide off Parts very easily ! And when I install hoses at has leaked prevention plans I use RTV gasket sealer not much just to help feeling those parts backup FYI is works very well !
