Cracking me up! Turned you on to find you making the same thing i was in the middle of making! 2 cases to go with the quilt i finished for my 5yr old nephew! Always enjoy you and your mom. Lucky ladies!
Becca, I agree that half hexi quilt is great, also a great quilt along, for a Friday night. Great in any color variation ,scrappy, with large blocks. Also beginner quilters can enjoy. Let us know where to buy the pattern. I'm ready.
I missed you live last night. And I'm driving with voice text.So I apologize if it comes up kind of chaotic. I use the formula Three times nine equals twenty Seven as a rule for pillowcases.
What you made is actually a pillow sham. You do not have a flap inside to hold a pillow in it. You could do that by making the body longer, 2×plus flap, and hem a double folded other end. Then fold the whole body length up fold the flap area over the top, you can do two at once here, cut 21" or 21 1/2" wide 2× and sew just all the 4 sides. When you fold back the flap and turn your pillowcase out, rhe flap automatically goes inside and the cuff is on the top only. You can french seam with the flap inside, then turn it out, placing the flap around the top, and sew to enclose your raw edges.. I hope this wasn't too confusing.
