Thank you so much for sharing this very helpful video. I tried it on my FS-iA6 receiver and the result is absolutely good. I'm so happy because my transmitter (FS i6 upgraded to 10ch) can now detect my 3S & 4S cells battery. Thumbs up.
jim cameron iv just got this i6 & iA6 but i dont know what ch is aileron elevator throttle and rudder my last one had marked at the side of the channels
Why don't you plug one servo into the receiver, see how the transmitter controls it, and then move it to a different position on the receiver till you're happy, then repeat with the next servo.
thanks for the video. so if you use the Ch1 for the voltage monitor, you cant use that channel anymore for servos, is that right? furthermore, to where does the yellow cable goes from the quads reiveiver at ch1?
i recently bought fly sky FS-i6. but the problem that i am facing is the it is not getting bound by the receiver which is FS-iA6. i tried all types of binding. still it is not binding. can you help me with this
works nicely....now however at first i set the tx to lipo 3s and would get the alarm then to turn off the alarm i switched to 1s and it dawned on me that it should be set on 1s ! since thats all your monitoring.
Hi, forgive me but I used GOOGLE TRANSLATOR to send my doubt ... I wonder if it would work with the mini receiver I use on the QX95 Once again, sorry I used the GOOGLE TRANSLATOR
Do you know if there is any way to turn of the Voltage Alarm? Because when I have my motor on - full throttle the voltage drops down quiet drastically - so low - that the alarm goes off. But I want to keep the high- low-voltage settings so that there I can keep the beautiful battery animation at the top right corner of the display.
I think there is a Option for this in the settings to Set the Alarm voltage. But i use the newest Version of it so i dont know Anymore if there was a setting in the Stock Firmware becourse the First thing i did was to update the Flysky to 10ch, now i use an Even newer Version(14ch) so just Update the Flysky to the newest Version, and Set it there. This is very easy, only a ftdi Adapter or any 5v arduino board (i used an arduino UNO,But an arduino nano Does also work.) it gets very Good settings and There is no Risk to get a update to fail. I upgradet my Firmware for 3times and downgrade (factory reset works as well.) I Hope that helps. i use a very very complicatet mod whith a 2s 5.5Ah li-ion, usb charging(X-lite charging / Balance board) And also Powering external Modules and my screen. I also did an antenna mod Dremeld away the original Batterie holder to fit the li-ion And moddet the voltage divider the voltage sensing of the internaly transmitter Batterie to work with the 2s voltage Also i muß replace the original voltageregulators becourse they only can handle up to 6v , But a fully charged li-ion 2s pack is around 8,4v. I also addet an extra switch. But this is a challenge, how much i can get from this cheap Radio. Also i moddet 2 fsia6b resivers and a fsia6. All working great.
hello, it works, but when I tried to cut the tin between the pin and bat the receiver no longer works, and I can no longer use it, you would have a solution to bring it back to life
If you cut the wrong trace, the only way to repair it is with some conductive epoxy, but I'm not sure where to get some. This is why I suggested you do the mod on a spare unit.
i already cut the trace, but seems i dont have any respon voltage reading from the rx.. should it be connected well? what i have done is, i cut the trace, connect my esc to the rx(which got the bec) then connect the +ve wire on ch1 to the first cell port. but then still no signal am i doin it wrong?
its not true that you cant monitor higher voltages, you cannot set the upper voltages high if you dont raise the lower voltages. low, med and high are all tied to each other. if you set the cell number high enough and set your low voltage first, you can set this up to monitor upto 16s!!!!!!!!!
Jim Cameron I've been playing about with the settings for one of my helis, I've managed to tune it so I have it occasionally bleep a 'getting low' tone every now and then about 5 mins before my battery is dead (I get about 15mins out of a battery) and give the low warning siren about a min before my esc low voltage cut out kicks in, I get plenty of time to land before my battery is at cut out voltage. With fine tuning you can get this to work well but you need to tune after runs to get a feel for the voltages to set as in flight the voltages drop lower than the resting voltage
I just put up to 3 s batt straight into the receiver, guess what no smoke and readout at controller is quad batt, don't know how far you can push it haven't tried 4s, anybody go a spare to try? Works on a FS-iA10B.
This all seems very unnecessary to me.. maybe a difference in hardware..? I achieved the same exact result without modding or even touching the receiver itself.. sadly your channel has no videos of your quad setup so I really don't understand why this is necessary...
The standard iA6-receiver shows just the regulated 5v rx voltage what doesn't make sense when you are using 3s or 4s battery with 11 V or 14 V. Even if the battery voltage would go below 10 V the receiver would get enough voltage and will show ~5 V. With this mod you can display the real battery volate of the lipo battery.
Great video, brilliantly explained. Thanks.

I agreed I did the same and getting good results as per my need full battery voltage (Thums Up)
I want to use 3s anh 4s batteries, will it indicate voltage? And does it damage rx?
Very good! Thank you so much for sharing this.
Thank you, Very helpfull!
Thanhs for the video. And can i do the same for 3s battery ?
How do you control ailerons now that you are using chan1 for voltage monitoring?

@@jimcameron1451 ok, I have some, thank you very much
Has anyone tried this with the FS-T6 and FS-R6B version of FlySky? It would be good.
how you turn off blue lcd light?
this work on 5s?
the fsi6x can do alarms over 20V
if you monitor one cell, you can every cell count you want
Good morning, I just burned my receiver the solder caught on top of the resistor have idea of what I can do thank you.
Yeah, buy another radio and keep your damn hands out of it next time!
hey Jim. ...this is the pin that now has my rx power wire.... do i just move that wire to another + pin ?
You could also just select "external battery" in the receiver settings and that will show the complete battery voltage.
i already cut the trace, but seems i dont have any respon voltage reading from the rx.. should it be connected well?

1st 5mins pin separating pro grandpa :) Separate it slower please while we're still young and alive... What's the rush man?

True, when I'm high its hard to distinguish between the medium and low.

Oh and it seems you need to re bind after doing this mod to reset the sensor and make it work
may i know, will this work if u already upgrade/mod my remote to 10ch?
I haven't upgraded yet to 10 ch but Marc Johnson in a past below seems to have done it with no problems.
inform u once tried, thanks for mention marc johnson..
did it work to you
why do the manufacture does not do that when we can do it

you can monitor one cell without this mod.... the rx can take up to 6.5v
As I explain in the video, the voltage monitored without the hack is a regulated voltage, not the battery voltage.
yea maybe try watching the video before saying something stupid like that
+James W you don't say stupid to someone when you have a name like James its a dog's name
