Nice video.... But instead of showing the name of the ball all the time how about showing the drilling of each ball so we can get a look at how it reacts with that drilling compared with a drilling suited for us..
I’m definitely excited to see a new widow announced, and honestly, just as excited when widows are not announced. Some of the widows that get announced overseas are phenomenal, and if it weren’t for the widow line staying alive overseas, we would th have them back now. Everyone seems to forget that Hammer STOPPED making the Black Widow line in the US when they transitioned to the Taboo series (had the same gas mask core) after releasing the only Black widow that did not have the Gas Mask core, which was the BW Nasty. And interestingly enough, the BW Nasty was the only widow I was not excited about.
Finally you guys come up with the video my second-favorite guy to watch on the videos is talking about the balls because they both have similar red rates barks is a lefty but he plays the lands like I do except I'm a righty
Not sure I understand your comment about the 3d being a bigger ball? At 16# they are similar and at 15# the widow core has a higher diff. Can you explain?
I do own a Black Widow. It's the Black Widow Pink Urethane and it's great on shorter patterns; however, I don't get excited about when a new ball comes out. I like to look at video reviews first before I buy it.

I have been a Motiv guy for years. I have a six ball bag and all the balls are Motiv. Today I purchased the Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid and the Storm Fate. We will see how things go. Both these balls look good. I hope this move pays off.
have you been able to apply the 4000 grit polish to this ball and is it recommended for the 2.0? i am a life long user of columbia 300 balls and i am currently using a c-300 mad antics and it is a beast of a ball. how does this ball compare to the mad antics? i am really looking to buy within a month. thanks if you can get back with me asap
I get super excited when I hear about a new spider ball! The black widow pearl was the very first bowling ball I ever purchased! I'm glad to see it get a nod! I am going to buy this ball! I have bowled the stuffing out of my Ghost widow and I need something new!
somewhat favor a re-release. I had an original Cuda c and decided to get the new release and really like that ball. Same thing I thought with the color and looked from the old version to the new 2.0 hybrid. I had mixed feelings on that older ball but with all the changes other than "look" it is hard to compare old to new. But I do like the shelf appeal of this one.
I personally match up really well with Black Widows, and am always happy to see a new one being released. I like to see the cover-stocks update with the rest of the Brunswick lines.
The Black Widows are the only balls in my arsenal besides my Blue Hammer. I do like to see a new widow every now and then. I just bought the overseas Widow Savage and it works well. I'm getting the 2.0 and I can't wait to see if there is a big difference. Thanks for the video Barks!! Always good to see you guys!!
@@slimpanther just saw that you replied. The cover for the Savage, as with most of the overseas products, has a lighter coverstock. I shifted my bias approximately 1.25 inches left to give me a longer run down the lane with a quicker snap at the end. It hits extremely hard as most of the line does.
I got excited when the Widow 2.0 was released. I was thinking that it would be a great replacement to my old Danger Zone HP-H. But, I decided to hold off on that. Glad I did! Just got a hold of this 2.0 Hybrid and I can't wait to get her drilled! (well...uh... that didn't sound right) 😅
I hate the Brunswick brands' philosophy of re-releases. There are better, more exciting ways to create hype for new equipment. Seeing an old logo design does not give me confidence that I'm buying a ball for today's conditions, but maybe that's just me 🤷♂️
Barks, the outer ring of your thumb in the Widow 2.0 appears to yellow while the inside is black. Is that correct and if so how do I do this? I use black finger tip for most balls seem to get the most consistent fit and comfort, however with the IT thumb it can be difficult to see rotation which often helps me read what's happening when I pray and roll the ball!
Barks appears to be using a SwitchGrip thumb. If that is indeed the case you can do a multi color setup as the “outer” locking mechanism, the “inner” carrier and the urethane insert are all available in various colors. You can mix and match.
Turbo let’s you play around with colours for the outer sleeve. I chose yellow to match the engraving, and normally that’s what I try to do with each ball.
Wow you throwing the 16lb changes the core specs a good amount on the Black widow. RG basically the same but the 15 is .058 diff vs .048 on 16. Thats a huge difference! The ball your throwing definetly gonna reaact different then a 15 in the backend

Last year, I chose the 3-D Offset over the Black Widow 2.0...not a good decision on my part. Love the 2.0 Hybrid and may look at it in the future because of the HK22 cover.
Haven’t bowled since high school lol gave away the black widow ball I’ve always had. Stoked to see it is doing better than ever technology wise! Might need to cop me the hybrid and get some shoes and pick up the game again!
Black widow bowling could be a brand on its own: gas mask cores with every combination of coverstock. Fill in the gaps with other spider named balls like the webs/scorpions and tinker with some lower diff versions of the general core shape
So my release is very similar to yours but I don’t generate as much revs that you do. Any tips and also I’ve never moved the pin left or pin down before, would that help?
Just bought my first new ball in years in Kansas City today and got the Black Widow 2.0 hybrid. Ran right down the road to a bowling alley and both three games and was very impressed. I don't throw a giant hook naturally so I start with a moderately straight shot and it hooked great on the back and worked really well. I think with a little more practice I will have a really good ball
Fairly new to bowling, but the Widows definitely have shelf appeal and seeing this color scheme made me excited. Also, the righty perspective at the end was awesome to see since I’m a right hander!

Just getting back into bowling and I have never picked up any black widow. New one looked pretty good.
I bought my 2.0 hybrid a month ago. Just learned to bowl with a hook this winter, so I'm not awesome, but this ball helps a lot. It has crazy action 👍

I am a senior bowler lower speed 12 1/2 to 13 1/2. Low rev player 250. What would be the best pin up or pin down.

Just got mine 7 games. I love it. I'm a no thumb 1 handed bolwer low speed and got two 200+ games and 7 and 8 strikes a game
