Wow! This is his best interpretation of this challenging early Mozart aria. This could not be better (it is perfect, IMO), but Spyres never stops to amaze me, so let's wait.

This is a star performance. I’ve noted some fairly negative comments in various postings of his videos (not this one) that I don’t understand. Either my knowledge and experience of operatic arias over the past 40 years is a bit wonky, or others may just take delight in being negative for its own sake.

As much as I respect the Maestro, Mozart, I think he had a deep, internal, boiling hatred for tenors as evidenced by this piece. It is so impossible, difficult and heinously at the limit of vocal range. I have never heard anything as beautiful and so expertly done in my life!

Veces se siente o percibe una orquesta y una magnífica dirección por este nuevo director del magnífico grupo il pomo d'oro que lleva años grabando con los mejores artistas enhorabuena a Francesco Corti que se se siente como extraordinario y sensible director y a todos los miembros tan sobresalientes de la orquesta, vaya talento creativo el de ambos.
Bueno y ahora me toca hablar de ese monstruo"vocal " que sorprende a todos con su inusual falsete, vaya mandíbula ( que más quisieran muchos saberlo utilizar).
Ya tengo ganas de comprar el próximo CD

Sin dudas que la mejor mezcla es el tenor asi suave no tan agresivo como el tradicional tenor que siempre esta con el volumen al 100.. La mezcla melodia entre falsete y baja potencia, solo cuando se requiere.

In molti hanno cantato Mitridate e questa’aria ma dopo aver ascoltato questa sbalorditiva interpretazione vocale di Spyres gli altri possono solamente togliersi il cappello ed inchinarsi a lui..Solamente Bruce Ford gli si può accostare ma senza il virtuosismo di Spyres.
