We spent one month living in Waldoboro, Maine, as part of our living in 12 Cities (locations) in 12 Months adventure. One of us loved living there a little bit more than the other, but we both had an amazing time. Is a move to Midcoast Maine right for you?

Love this town Waldoboro. My mom grew up here and the family ran, still runs the Hall funeral home. Spent many summers there and miss it so very much

I'm from the next town over, Friendship & had to make preparations with Halls when my uncle passed just last spring. I just want to tell you how amazing everyone is there. There's a young woman who helped with every step of the process & her kindness, patience & knowledge was so appreciated at such a difficult time. Our family really appreciated everything they did for us.

We are putting down money very soon to hold a piece of land in Herman, Maine. We are building a home and hope to move in fall of 23. Maine is a dream come true and my dream is nearly ready to begin. I loved this vlog. Thank you!

A food tour of the area isnt complete without a visit to Wasses Hot Dogs in Rockland (a chocolate milk with your hot dog is a MUST) & Moodys Diner in Waldoboro. They make the best hot turkey & gravy sandwich

Hi, I am planning a trip to the Bar Harbor area in late May. I am curious to know what the weather is like and how prevalent the fog is. What was your experience?

We only lived in Maine for 1 month, so we're not experts, but for us, it was chilly in the mornings but very pleasant in the afternoons. Sometimes there was fog, but it wasn't an everyday thing. Thanks for watching.

May can be wet, foggy and chilly on Mount Desert Island; best times to go to Acadia is in mid-June to the end of September; and of course October for leaf peeping.

I live here in the village no complaints. Walk to the Narrows Tavern, Walk to the Waldo theatre, walk to the perch bakery. The house was built in 1790 three fireplaces and a beehive oven. What is NOT to love about Waldoboro, Maine? th-cam.com/video/Tiqb-UPPjmM/w-d-xo.html

Most of Waldoboro is quite rural, I have no stores or gas stations within 7 miles of my rural Waldoboro home.

What are your top 2 favorite places so far?

    • @chrisplusmelissa

If we keep it to the USA, I liked Pismo Beach best and Melissa liked Maine. I might pick Whistler or North Vancouver as my 1st place. And Levis Quebec was awesome as well. It's hard to pick for sure.

I can say from my personal experience that Moxie tastes like cough medicine and whoopie pies are delicious.

I’ve put on 10 lbs watching you eat those yum pastries. STOP IT!!!!! Really like that town (scenic and serene) but I bet it gets scads of snow in the winter.

I"ve literally gained 10 pounds! :D Melissa might not love Maine as much if she goes through winter time here. :P

Way too many and if you are from away, the locals will ignore you at best; new out of state residents usually end up socializing with each other - I avoid personally new residents myself.

Stop #11, yikes, are you actually going to be able to stop moving from place to place every month. I'm sure its annoying but in a few months you might miss the constant changes in things to see. Might need to pick your Top 4 places you visited and stay in each place for 3 months to make sure you made the right decision :)

Resident of Waldoboro for 39+ years; this is a totally misleading and a really unrepresentative portrayal of the town; most of the video shown is not even near the township much less in it - bogus title.

    • @chrisplusmelissa
      @chrisplusmelissa  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

We did the best we could with just one month of experience. That's the thing about travel content, one has to keep moving around to get new content. Regardless, we found it to be quite enjoyable. I can see how you could live there for 39+ years.
