Thanks for the review! It's indeed awfully disappointing that there's literally nothing Lithuanian about it. It's a stripped down British MRE. Not adapted to our doctrine (jet boils are not issued to our troops), not adapted to our palate (give us honey and buckwheat stew!) and not adapted to us (the contents are machine translated). Despite some improvements, like increased variety and great wipes, it's a very disappointing "update". I wonder what this tasted like at -10 C...
Yeah, some additional discussion with Lithuanian folks made me really question the choices made on this. Other than cost savings (maybe?) It doesn't seem to make sense. Was delicious however, so at least there's that.
I prefer the originals, unique food and packaging. New ones look inefficient, and Ortho European stuff. Same stuff found in 90% of other European meals. Sad, I'm gonna have to stick up on the older ones!
A++ on the shorter style review. Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks man! I'm just trying to tell folks if there good or not, I'll leave the entire history to the man with the tray.
Awesome video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
