Absolutely best video on topic. In H.S. (Failed) I hated chemistry .. Later as a Med student I endured two additional semesters of general chemistry and 2 more unbearable semesters of organic chem taught by a complete sadist, plus an additional 2 semesters of Bio-chemistry (enjoyable with a marvelous instructor) .. Now, years later, I watch these videos (for fun) from many folks, many are incomprehensible - But I made one "print screen" after another to learn (and retain) what you've accomplished in communicating. Oh, I had 20+ fine years as a physician and never used general chemistry or organic once.
Thanks Richard. I'm using "isolation" time to revise all this fundamental chem and physics - stuff I struggled with in the 1970's. Wish we'd had the internet and TH-cam back then.

It’s always frustrated me because I’m interested in chemistry and physics but had convinced myself that I didn’t have the ‘right’ kind of brain to comprehend it. Wow. Thank-you so much. My teacher just whizzed through the periodic table writing the configurations and I couldn't understand why she didn't use 2s1 for Boron. But, with this method, I was able to see why. She put a picture of the cross through method on the projector for 10 seconds and asked everyone if we liked the chart or her method, but she never explained the chart. I knew there was some kind of a pattern; she just didn't explain it.
