I met Dennis many times during the miners strike. He was always approachable and spoke to me as an old friend. I saw him last at a funeral five years ago, he came over to me and greeted me using my name. The most genuine, caring man you could ever wish to meet!
He reminds me so much of my Grandad. This all makes me so happy. He should have kept his seat. He's a politician who truly embodies British Labour and the British left. May he regain his Constituency someday
