Thanks for the Smoothie video, John. Your vids have been a huge help for me during my playthroughs of Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and now Echos of Wisdom. Don't have my copy of Echos yet, but your vids are helping me get a leg up on the game, so I'll have an easier time when I finally get it. Thanks again.
@@AustinJohnPlaysI can second what he said, I would not be able to do anything in these games without your help because I’m clueless about some of the things in these games but with your help they are some of the most fun games I have ever played, thanks again
Since 2017 you been my go to guy for help on ANYTHING Zelda and Pokemon related !! Tears was fun last year now we back at it again for echo's!!!Always hype for Austin John!!
Same. Though I think the echo selection screen is bad. We should be able to better sort them, or have the ability to pin ten to a favorites window or something.
Yeah, I find the smoothie system with monster fangs and guts odd. Kind of silly that only certain ones work with certain ingredients. At least the game remembers all the recipes you’ve tried as it makes it super convenient!
There is a distinct pattern to it though. All guts potions provide defensive effects against enemy attacks and all fang potions provide utility effects. It’s just odd that this is never mentioned anywhere.
Pro tip: do NOT mix two gold eggs together!!!! You’d think it would be a great smoothie, but It gives you the same exact thing as a gold egg plus milk. Same healing, same recipe, same everything.
Golden eggs are better for selling than making smoothies in general. They sell for 150 rupees, but all the golden smoothies sell for only 75. Every golden smoothie heals 20 hearts, plus whatever extra effect the other ingredient gives (Defense plus, wind speed plus, etc.) for 5:00. It takes 17 golden eggs to make all the recipes, and the reward for making all the recipes is 10 golden eggs.
One of the best tips I learned from this video is that you can sell your smoothies. I for some reason didn't think to even try scrolling down in the sell menu and was struggling since it felt like I was wasting all my money on testing the different combos instead of saving for some of the shop items. You've just saved me so much time from grinding out rupees lol Thanks, you're awesome!
The "Twisty Potion" for Winding Speed is for a Side-Quest you can only start after you finish "Still Missing" and then explore the field north of Hyrule Ranch. Once you start the quest, the buff will make more sense.
You’re misunderstanding the guts-fangs system, there’s nothing of levels involved here. Instead, all monster guts smoothies are ones that bolster your defenses (defense up and resistance against secondary attack effects) and all monster fang smoothies, instead, provide utilities (longer breath, glowing and increased swim, climb and winding speeds). They‘re fully seperate in what they do, not staggered in worse and better effects. The chilies are just the odd ones out as they combine with both.
Austin’s views always must skyrocket every time a new major Nintendo game comes out. Austin, I’m sure you’ll never see this, but your guides are amazing and I appreciate the hell out of your content dude
Thank you for the list towards the end, it was really helpeful! And I am glad you explained the monster guts and fangs because so far all I've been getting were unfortunate smoothies with them.
I tried the demo version of the new Peach game and it isn't that bad. If you haven't tried the demo version you should. You and I have the exact same taste in video games. What did you mean when you said the new Peach game isn't a real game? Or did you mean Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom weren't real Zelda games?
Love ur breakdowns of all ur Zelda games in the cooking and damage numbers. Watched ur info on Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door and it was great too. Crazy how u think of every angle on these games to understand deeply it but I appreciate it all. 👍
Anything to bring Gremlin Zelda's beautiful smile back in to my day! I'm gonna be 103 year old man one day just sitting here staring at this picture of her because it's the only thing that brings me happiness! ❤
Just got the game yesterday…have made a lot of progress and the chart was very useful as I wasn’t sure what all the ingredients were (I think the only one I’m missing are the twisted pumpkins).
13:10 hey thanks for the table man I snapped a copy of it using my phone so that I can use it when I'm playing the game. This will come in handy thanks.
I'm using the Link form as little as possible - the game was designed around the echoes after all - but it's good to know that if you stock up on upgrades and smoothies you can play the game more or less conventionally.
I thought I had a an explanation for why some ingredients work with fangs and some work with guts, except the twisted pumpkin but, with that exception, it seems like the shape of the ingredient, whether it's spherical or oblong, goes with the shape of the guts or fangs, respectively.
Never going straight to the end of your vids, dude. Love all the vids you make and know it’s a ton of work for you to do. Respect to you for cranking them out so quickly ❤
Such a helpful video I wish streamers watch it. I think it's obvious and natural for everyone to go into this game blind, but this is the game where it pays off if you research more about it as you go, and your first instinct is not going to be the correct one.
Is it possible to sort your smoothies? Sorry if it's obvious and I am missing it. Amazing as always, thank you so much for this extremely helpful information!!!
How often are you guys getting monster guts and fangs? I have the upgraded binoculars and these still are somewhat rare for me. (Note I am also wearing the brooch not sure if this will affect the drop rate)
If you create every type of smoothie (except for the optional unfortunate smoothie), you get ten golden eggs. This does not require every combination of ingredients, as some smoothies have multiple recipes. All you need is at least one recipe per unique smoothie, and those ten golden eggs are yours.
If you need a Smoothie for Energy but don't want to play Mango Rush, use Twisted Pumpkins and Rock Salt instead - you won't get the 1min of Toughness, but it'll still completely refill your energy, and those are easier to find by exploring Hebra. (And Rock Salt has a chance of dropping from each rock when you smash 2 rocks together)
@azurebalmung4520 or you can just scan three amiibos at once, save, close out the game change the date by going to the settings menu on the home screen, and then go back to your save file and scan three more amiibos. You can literally do this all day as long as you save after using three amiibos, and changing the date. And you can only use Zelda based amiibos. Meaning no Mario, Pokémon Splatoon or Animal Crossing amiibos.
Yeah the 2 rock salt ones are very strong because refilling energy is not easy otherwise, but actually all of the smoothies should be coded to be super strong and the game should be less forgiving when you're out of smoothies. Swimming should be slow, quicksand should be inescapable, breathing should be an issue, etc so that the difference between smoothie/no smoothie is day and night. Especially since these last for only one minute. The main problem is that almost all smoothies and equipments are useless, i never felt any need for them in my entire playthrough. The equipments that do exactly the same as one of the smoothies should be obtained in a dungeon at the mid boss for example or after a difficult side quest (which is already kina what they did, so that's cool). Also the pumpkin smoothies should straight up set the winding time of the robots to zero and there should be another ingredient that makes smoothies that make robots invincible for 1-5 min. Only then it would become cool to use them and people would be happy to craft those smoothies.
Love watching your content but don't want to spoil the game for myself. Going to have to put a pin in them until I have time to finish it then come back and see everything I missed along the way or how I could have made it easier for myself.
Just checked my inventory in my game - I have one fang and no guts. It would still be nice to know how other ingredients like Floral Nectar and Fresh Milk work, as I won't always have some monster parts to mix into smoothies.

Neat. Unfortunate Smoothie is the new Dubious Food.

Hey austin, did you already got the secret lynel echo?
Would love a video from you about it
yes, gotta get through the EARLY stuff first lol dude takes 6 triangles to spawn
Whats the best one for selling?
a lot of the mango smoothes sell for 50, the highest they can go for
Mangoes are probably the easiest to acquire via the mini game too.
Wanted to shoot a like but you were at 420 so I had to hold back 😤👑
I was thinking of getting this game eventually, but I got a question. Is it easy to get ingredients? Or is it heavy on RNG? I don't have amiibos

Here is your comment! Thank you for the list… and yes, I watched the whole video 🤭
Need a Pokemon game with these graphics
So guts make combat potions and fangs make adventure potions. Got it.
I am sure I can play again and learn more and collect more but no one warned me you can finish the game (all the main quests) in 3 days.
10:07 , you can technically just not make them , you buy them
Is it better to sell your golden eggs OR turn into smoothie and then sell?
Golden eggs sell for 150. Golden egg smoothies all sell for 75.
What exactly does glow do? I’m confused.
Wait what???
This OUT?! Since when!?
Today good sir!
If I do for 100 gems I don’t get 10 smoothies is it a bug?
I like smoothies 😊 btw this game easy not that easy😂good for killing time😅
If you get every smoothy combenation you get 10 golden eggs
I thought it was fruits that can work with monster guts and veg and non fruit work with monster fangs. 😅
