Thank you very informative video. I have epilepsy and I’m on oxcarbazepine. I’m not yet trying for a baby but I do constant research about pregnancy and epilepsy so that I’m up to date on the risks for when I eventually do want to have children.
I take Phenobarbital for my seizures. As a baby, I was on multiple medications until my neurologist finally settled on Phenobarbital. Out of all the medications, this was the only one that actually controlled my seizures. I have looked up Phenobarbital during pregnancy and found that it blocks vitamin K from getting through the placenta. But that shouldn't be much of a problem, right, because newborns get a vitamin K shot after they are born so a newborn being more prone to bleeding is not all that bad.
Twenty minutes after her shot, the girl experienced tightness in her chest, dizziness, difficulty breathing and seizures. She also received emergency treatment from medical officers at the site before she was transferred to the Ha Hoa District Medical Centre. However, her condition rapidly deteriorated upon her arrival at the hospital, and she started vomiting blood. She fell into a coma and died shortly after.
