    Hi there , great that this video is available.. I’m listening now after having seizures/ epilepsy for 20 years .. I think it’s a shame that more neurologists aren’t trained in women specifically with a seizure disorder or do not recommend one that is . But I again , I’ve learned that a patient has to do the research themselves with family in the beginning and carry it on the rest of their lives …
    To comment on the point about transitioning from pediatrics to adult care ? I think you said … that this happens from the age of 18 ? Maybe I misunderstood but my concern is that this transition should take place before puberty and planned ahead of time . Yes at the age of 18 the now adult must give consent to a parent to participate in their medical care and that is situational to their birthday and appointment soon after and not continuous or ongoing in the months / years that follow. I think the transition from prepubescent to puberty is an on going process and should be more highlighted … as any underlying female genetics could play a role in how that transition goes with hormones symptoms etc .. thank you again !!
