Was on a small sailboat off San Francisco back in 1992. Ran into a bad storm that was pushing us towards montera point and devils slide. Sounded a mayday. Coast Guard helo was over us in 15 minutes and kept us in sight. The Half Moon Bay police boat came north into the teeth of one fierce gale to take us under tow and bring us safely into half moon bay. And that isn't half the story. In the end they saved my best friend and my lives. I've never forgot them. Respect to all who wear the blue.

30 years Police and am out. My heart goes out to those who still serve, its tougher every year. Bled red and blue through and through.
