11 years ago I was a “Rookie” within a Fire department. We work our ass off. I had to leave to go peruse my Career as a firefighter. But my last call one of my buddy’s fell threw the roof on a ventilation crew. We lost him that day, and this video is the one that remembers us of him. God bless to all the first responders out there.

40 years ago, I was a junior member of a volunteer fire company, at the tender age of 16. I did it, because all my friends in school were doing it... We were true "Townies", and we were proud. My time with the Fire Department was short lived, because I had a real problem with heat inside a burning building... and I had a real issue with heights... Unfortunately, those are critical elements needed in the true nature of the job of "Firefighter". Still... this song is a TRUE TRIBUTE to ALL FIRST RESPONDERS, and I will always be proud to have been among the proudest of the East Greenwich Volunteer Fire Department, Station 1... I was blessed to achieve and graduate the fire academy and sheriff's academy, served 19 years until on a traffic stop the suspect drove his vehicle and pinned my hand against the truck and my vest and substain a injury to my hand was never able to fire my weapon and was placed on duty related injury.Forced to retire yet i gave my all and loss a few, prayers to my family may they continue to be protected and cover.

This was really well done!! One of the scenes on here reminded me of the time when Severide and another fire-fighter were trapped in one spot and Casey was trapped in another! Now for some reason, only known to producers and scriptwriters, the fire-fighter trapped with Severide was never seen or heard of again, and only Casey got recognition for his efforts!! Weird, just weird!!!
Officially, the CFD wouldn’t give Benny Severide the ceremony that Kelly wanted for him because he didn’t pass away while on the job. Chief Boden made some calls and pulled in a few favors so they could have a little service of their own.

I seing this happened on F.B.I when the hewd of the fugitive task force got shot in the neck and he died a few seconds after help arrived and they told his wife who were planing a trip for both of them I almost cried because he was my favourite person on the show
I think everyone in the show by now, except Carver has either almost died or actually died Who else thinks that every cast member that still there has had an accident that almost killed them where they almost I left the show where everyone has almost died, and the people that actually have died and other than Carver. I think they have all has horrible accidents where it has almost milled them and I think the only reason Carver hasn’t had one yet is because he’s so new and I don’t give it long before it’s his turn to have an accident that either almost kills him or actually does kill him
