- Hamsanada Foundation, Bengaluru, presented the Ragamalika Award 2023 to Indian Harmonica veteran Sri Madan Kumar Sharma of Pune for his contribution to Indian Harmonica.
The award was presented by noted musician and music composer Sri Praveen D Rao, Renowned Carnatic vocalist, musicologist and Guru Vidushi Smt Rupa Sridhar, renowned Tabla maestro, singer and Guru Pt Sri Vishwanath Nakod and renowned Ghatam exponent and Guru Smt Sukanya Ramgopal.
The award was presented on 4th June, 2023 at Sri Krishnadevaraya Kalamandira, Bengaluru.

Madan Sir, when you told that first you will play your Signature tune, I laughed so loud with extreme joy because sir I know your signature tune. I play the same number with my Saxophone in each stage event of mine. As regards harmonica, Sir I used to listen to you in Radio Ceylon Saaz Aur Awaaz programme.
