  • in this video gang members are trying to weld SEJ section with the breathing length of lwr section. actually there was a conventional SEJ at this point somehow due to excessive load or settlements, the stock rail of sej got fractured so they are placing a new improved sej with one gap developed by rahee industries ltd.kolkatta. so they left 25 mm gap between stock rail and lwr and with the help of a 25 mm "T" they placed a fix plate earlier but now they got 70 minutes block from control room(minimum time required for a welding). so they un-clamped that fish plate and did welding of that particular joint cause fish plates are the most vulnerable part of a rail section and they do not pass longitudinal stresses across it. so we are advised to weld that joint as soon as possible. untill then we have to put a 30km per hour caution board near the line so trains do not run over it in higher speeds.finally after welding they do grinding of the extra material and do clamp this joint using 2 bolted joggle fish plate. in this improved sej we use 5 Sleepers under it at the spacing of 600 mm.

    No trimmer,No rail grinder..total desi jugad ... conventional method
