See, it's good if you are trying hard to achieve it. Nothing is absolute, everything is relative. Even a SDM will feel inferior in front of DM, similarly a track man will feel inferior in front of ALP. So whatever is your aim try hard to achieve that. Best of luck!!!

There are 4 ways to enter into railway engine.
1. Be a locopilot through RRC exam, and you will get chance to ride this beast.
2. Get entry into group D post and give GDSE promotion exam you will become logo pilot or je.
3. Get entry as a Junior engineer or senior section engineer and will get chance once or twice in a month to do foot plate inspection in locos and rear guard van.
4. Write UPSC civil services paper and become officer in railways, you can do inspection whenever you want.
(* One more option - be a railway minister of India and you may sit wherever you want 😋)
