    • @have_faith_

      Printable Wall Art to start with - I am on Etsy now and only have about 12 items listed- so I am a beginner 😀. I have learned so much from your videos!! Thanks for what you do. It is so nice to find someone that is willing to teach and explain why- and not promoting their courses that they charge for. Also the other night I had my first Etsy sale!! 🎉 as soon as funds allow- I’d like to buy you a coffee ☕️! 😆

    • @MeyTribe

      Congrats on your sale !!! That's super awesome !
      And honestly ? if there was a course I could do- I would... But what would it be about? I talk about printables, print on demand... Those could be done in a million different ways. Even a "course" on Printable wall art- using what graphic tool ? I just don't believe in creating and selling something that isn't 100% important to people, something targeted that can really make a difference.
      I enjoy making these videos, making a course is so much work for either a bad result, or a very specific topic in my niches.
      The friend I had on on the video yesterday- has courses... but she teaches coding, so that's one very specific niche :)

    So this is a total of around 8% all said and done to sell something. Much better than Etsy fees!!

      YUP :)
      They have their strong points, the fees, also with their other options like having a freebie on the product page + the auto discount for social sharing... Though they are not a marketplace, so 100% it's you bringing in traffic.

    Excellent tutorial! congratulations, I'm new to this aoo and I need to ask you about a feature that I did not find in the options ... I need to sell on access to video on demand and digital products asks me to upload the file, I want to redirect the customer to a page with the embedded video and watch it on lie for a defined time (without downloading), is it possible to do?
    thank you very much!

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think you can charge for a redirect with payhip...
      They have something called membership, maybe that would work ?
      If the video that you want to redirect to is a course you made- they also have courses...
      But if it's not any of these- I think you'll need to ask Payhip if that can be done. (sorry I can't give you a flat out solution...)

    You are just a fountain of useful information! Thanks! I do have a question about embedding a payhip product on a wp site, can you still use things like social media share discounts and/or cross sells from the embedded product ? Does it apply there too?

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know, yes.
      I wanted to test it out but currently my own Payhip store (meytribe.com) doesn't have the share discount. But the "normal" share icons are transferred to the WP along with every item on that product, when you do embed "page" not the embed button.

    I've watched a few of your videos now and you have a lot of interesting and useful information. I'm a little confused by what I've seen though - do you actually have all these websites and stuff that you are legitimately using to generate income or are you just building all these sites to show others how easy they are to use?? Also, if you're actually using a ton of different sites (i.e.: etsy, payhip, redbubble, facebook, you tube, ebay, cafe press, etc etc) can you talk about 1) how much time you spend per day, week, month watching over/updating/adding products to these sites, 2) how you manage your time overseeing all these websites and products (do you do check all emails on mondays, upload to social media on tuesdays, create product marketing on wednesdays, etc or do you reserve mondays for esty and payhip, tuesdays for redbubble and facebook, wednesdays for youtube and ebay), 3) whether it's worth it to have so many sites, personas, and products online - do you keep an excel spreadsheet of all your different stores?, and 4) what/if there are annual taxes to consider with all this stuff, how you organize your tax info for all these stores/products/supplies, and how you get tax info from these various platforms? I see a lot of people doing vids about opening shops and stuff, but no one really talks about the time they put in or the tax situation. Are you an business, do you need to file a different set of taxes for these stores and stuff, do you have to itemize costs, and are you in a different or higher tax bracket because you own digital shops? Or is it that you don't have to pay taxes on this stuff at all or don't have to pay taxes if you make under a certain dollar amount? I am thinking about payhip because of the video of yours I watched recently (and told my very small women's business group about) but I have a few questions 1) who is it owned by? I don't want to sign up for it and find out it's owned by some shady group who would have access to my personal information (if required for opening a shop), and 2) if it may cause my taxes to increase or change in a way that I can't file normal taxes, but have to file business taxes or something. Just some immediate thoughts/reservations I had about payhip because it sounds awesome and I really want to try it out.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, let me see if I can cover all that you've asked...
      No, I don't have 300 different websites to sell 300 different types of art, that's impossible. I have had several different types of shops throughout the years, and have done private business counselling and build Etsy shops for over 500 people in the past 5 years. (after being an affiliate marketer, website builder, and SEO specialist- 5 years prior to that).
      Not sure where you got the Facebook from, I am a strong advocate against spending money on FB ads, and I have never spoken (or used) eBay.
      I display options for people in various levels of tech and art. For example- some people without Wordpress skills, would prefer to open a shop using Shopify.
      I am spending almost 0 time on RedBubble, a lot of the marketing was set a long time ago (3 pinterest accounts belonging to affiliate blogs...) and I stopped actively using it- as I mentioned in one of my recent videos, as well as potentially leaving RB.
      I am now re-working on some of my old stores- mostly cause my style and skills have changed greatly in the past few years. (Even few months, especially since getting my iPad and procreate).
      as for your numbered questions:
      1. Varies... Can be days with 0 time, can be days with 3-4 hours. I don't have a schedule for these- as I have the TH-cam channel that takes a lot of time + I still have clients that I work for on THEIR projects, Plus my medical condition.
      2. I design whenever I am unable to do other things, mostly during paralysis episodes. And upload & market by check-list when I have time.
      3. I think people shouldn't have 10 different styles and shops. People should focus on their ART and on the platforms they enjoy selling them, also depends on the time they have to do so.
      4. I have a business, and an accountant, and I issue receipts, and pay my taxes. I don't know why others don't talk about that- but I know why I don't.... I am not an accountant, and it would be illegal of me to make a video talking about things I have no legal right to talk about. PLUS, even my personal experience would mean nothing to 99% of my viewers, as my freelancing company is in Israel- and my taxes are different as I am disabled.
      Regarding Payhip-
      1.I cannot tell you who owns it, I have not messaged them and asked... Sorry.
      2. You have to consult a tax attorney or an accountant that is in your country for any tax questions, I really cannot answer that :(
      I hope that covers it...

    • @TodaysSpecialMinis
      @TodaysSpecialMinis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MeyTribe Ah - thanks for the comprehensive answer! Yeah, you answered a lot of questions. I know taxes are different in different countries, but I just want to hear someone from any country talk about their tax liabilities from having digital stores just to get an idea of how much people pay in taxes or how they have to file. I'm not looking for totally personal information on taxes, just a general idea on whether people file taxes and if they get tax info from these shops - like does etsy or amazon or whatever places like those - do they send tax info and what are shop owners categorized as. I remember I asked another person about how much taxes their store generates and they said they don't file taxes because they don't make enough money to file taxes - and that didn't sound right to me, so thought I would ask you since you seem to have multiple online shops. I didn't know you have a medical condition or that you are disabled - sorry to hear that. Anyway - keep the vids coming. As I said, you tube had you in my recommendeds and I watched some of your vids and have gotten some really good information and ideas from you.

      Well, my company is formated in israel. I take out receipts whenever money comes in to my account, and do my taxes yearly. But, I don't actually pay taxes, as the Israeli tax system is build on "tax points"
      Each tax point equals an amount, and let's say someone needs to pay 1000 ILS taxes, and their points add up to 800 ILS, they will pay 200.
      because I am disabled- I get a lot of tax points- and end up not paying taxes.
      (which is why my tax info is even useless to israelis LOL )
      In Israel you have to take out a receipt even if you make 2 ILS per year, but you won't pay taxes for it as it is too low for anyone to pay taxes on.
      Generally speaking- I think every person just needs to speak to an accountant in their country- and go by the book.
      If you end up making good money but defraud your country and they find out- you're in big trouble (baffles me how many times I see people online say they don't declare their profits LOL )
