Hiya Paul, One thing you can do for all of your custom pages is to add sections that will appear on all custom pages, while only adding them once. What you can do is go to your store editor, scroll to the bottom of the left hand side menu and click the "Edit all custom pages at the same time". Any sections you add in there should appear on all custom pages you create. So you would add the category menu as a section underneath your header and save. It should appear on every custom page. If you want to edit individual pages you would exit and edit only that page. Hopefully that's what you meant, but let me know if I've misunderstood your question.
@@fernandquill I have 3 pages like flowers, animals and landscapes. On every page i need a submenu where i can select what kind of flowers or animals o want to find. Top menu - flowers then submenu like -roses,tulips....i dont want the same submenu on every page.
Hiya hun thank you for this. Can I ask what size did you use for your logo as I am having trouble with that when i upload. Also for the header I used the image with text what size is best to upload as it looks weird on my mobile view
Hiya, you're welcome, hope it was helpful. My logo was approx 600px x 100px, however in Payhip I had it reduced to 69px in max height. It'll be slightly different for you as your logo will be different. What dimensions are you currently uploading? For your header, the image used as the background would ideally be at least 1920 long by at least 800px high. This should allow for enough coverage on most devices. Can I ask what's happening on mobile view? I might be able to offer more guidance.
Hi Don, thanks for reaching out. A collection is a way to group your products. You can use them to organise your products so they appear with other similar ones. A section is a design block that you add to your website. For example you can add a text & image section.
Hey! I have a tutorial on setting up reviews feature in Payhip (the video is here: th-cam.com/video/IzjCRfky_5A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YLaHVK9sT2rFeIWZ). Is that what you need? Or have you already set it up and you're looking to import existing reviews into it?
@@fernandquill Thanks, your video is very helpful, I didn't have this informations. Please, I want to know how to do if I want myself to import reviews from another site to my page?
Just found you and Thanks a Bunch!!!! Can you tell me how to fix the mobile view? When I check it on my laptop the mobile view does not shrink down to cellphone view?
Thank you! I'm not sure how to help you with the mobile preview. Has it always been like that for you? Have you by chance tried it on a different browser?
Do you plan to make more videos on setting up Payhip sites? I started mine and have used this video to help, but I am still struggling to make it how I would like. You have the only helpful video on TH-cam! So thank you for that.
Hey Tina! Thank you, I'm so glad the video was helpful. Yes I can make more videos in future. Is there anything in particular you're looking to achieve or need help with?
@@fernandquill oh my gosh everything! My products show up on my homepage, but under products only 1 item shows. All the editable tabs are not under 1 area, for instance About me is separate. I’m sure this seems confusing in written form and without being able to look at my account firsthand is hard to answer my questions. I appreciate any videos you can make.
Of course, I will create a couple of videos starting with some things you've mentioned. I have also had 1:1 sessions with clients in the past to help them troubleshoot these kinds of things. Reach out if you're ever looking for that too 😊😊@@OnlineSellingWithTina
Please if you can explain how to add an image into my header which will span across the screen horizontally to display my products and logo. They only seem to allow a very small logo option. I made header transparent as you said, but it still stays small. Thanks so much.
Hey there! I'd like to create a video to show you how, but I want to understand a bit better. Do you mean that you'd like to know how to resize your logo so that it appears larger?
Here in Australia a lot of coaches and digital product creators will price their products in US dollars because that's where the majority of their customer base is. So if that's what would work for you then yes. I don't know China's laws regarding it thought, so it's worth researching.
Hi Michele, Thank you for making this video. When I add a product using a 1000 X 1000 image it shows on the product page just fine. But on the home page it cuts off the sides. It's looking like the image is 1000 X 1500. Have you experienced this?
Hiya, you're welcome, I'm glad the video has helped. Yes, I know what you mean about the homepage. This is something you can change in your website section settings. If you're in your store builder, click on the section that has your products (this will be a featured collection or something). Under settings you'll see an option called "Aspect Ratio". Change this to either 1:1 or Adapt and it should now show on your home screen as square. Don't forget to save and publish after you make the change.
Hiya Angela! At this stage no I don't believe so. They would need to email you with the file/s. Or perhaps a link in your digital product to a form they can fill in and upload to.
Michelle, this was very helpful! I have a wordpress website but don't really "blog" .. just post about new products. Your site is very pretty and I see you have your own url ... did you connect an existing website to get that? I've had a Wordpress website for several years now and not sure if I should "move" it over to Payhip or just set up PH as my website and phase out Wordpress if sales from it go well. I currently use a few digital marketplaces and would love to just have my own shop! 😊
Hiya! Thanks for your lovely compliments about my website. I do have my own URL, all I've done to achieve that is connect my domain name to Payhip so it shows www.mysite.com instead of payhip.com/mysite - does that make sense? Payhip is very capable and can replace your whole website in most instances (without all the add ons too!). I'd trial Payhip first and see if it meets your needs before shifting everything over, so your idea of that is a great. I also use different marketplaces depending on what I'm selling, and the main difference between marketplaces or your own website is the traffic. You need to drive your own traffic to your website, whereas a marketplace will bring a lot of traffic (but also a lot of competition). I have an article on my main website about this if you'd like to read. Perhaps you may end up using both website and marketplace? Here's the blog: michellemarks.com.au/blog/blog/where-should-i-sell-my-digital-products-website-or-marketplace
@@fernandquill Thanks, Michelle .. I may take your suggestion and sign up with Payhip and see how it goes. Yep, I'm aware of driving traffic to your own site is a bit tricker.
