      Not really, when research on mice shows little to no benefits there is nobody that will fund further research. You're free to spend a few zeros on it but the result is fairly predictable.

      Shock horror, you'll find even less real evidence against most medicines that you trust and throw down your neck. But I'm siore you'll take your prescription medicine without question.
      I'd try reading: Bad Pharma by Ben Goldacre. He's a UK Dr working at Nuffield health and still consults with the NHS too. The book explains how results are skewed so you believe the efficacy they promote. One of the ones that sticks in mind is inhaler drugs for asthmatics, it turns out that there really isn't any efficacy if you know how to read the study.
      So we are in a world where we actually know very little about anything we ingest.

    A lot of bias in this comment section. It’s so easy to say the medical industry doesn’t want to study something or want to keep facts away from people than just looking at the objective evidence yourself. I’ve met people who say this works for them and I’ve met people say it doesn’t work for them. You can argue that everybody’s body is different but at the end of the day it’s all anecdotal evidence. Im a physician and when a patient tells me they are taking natural supplements, I have to be honest and tell them what the research studies show. Sometimes the research is limited so i disclose that information as well. The patient can decide what to do based on that information. In my personal opinion, if the supplement isn’t causing harm and the patient did their research on the company that is selling the product and are confident that what they are ingesting is the product that the company is advertising, then go ahead and try it and see if it works for you.
    Within a given month, I see 200 to 300 unique patients. If I’m going to confidentially recommend anything, I need evidence from well designed studies with lots of patients that there is a statistically significant effect size when compared to placebo and that the treatment isn’t harmful. That is just being cautious.
    As much as people may disagree, many clinicians actually want to help people. If there isn’t reliable evidence that something works, I have a duty to disclose that to the patient. I’m not being paid by the government or pharmaceutical companies to brain wash patients lol. At the end of the day, the patient can choose what they want to do for themselves, doctors aren’t forcing patients to act one way or the other.

      Bad Pharma by Dr Ben Goldacre. You'll find much of what you prescribe has been misrepresented so you believe in its efficacy. He also states that many Drs don't know how to read the studies or rely on the marketing the drug company gives them, so they never investigate further.

    Accept that its like a substance thats been used for over 4000 years apparently for wellness. Also everyone who takes it says it makes them feel better in every which way. Plus you didn't address how it has 87 of the 102 essential minerals our body needs. Plus everyone who takes it, loves it, and claims that it helps them maintain their energy levels throughout the day which even Redbull can't help with...

    • @blankmood丯

      Most substances of our everyday life got almost all essential minerals. It depents on the amount you need. You cant conclude out of anecdotal evidence an scientific effects. Espacially on psychological effects the placebo effect is very strong. Also you are more likely to hear about ppl who had an effect. There are so many biases science hardly tries to eliminate to get to the pure effect. You cant ignore that

      Dude it is processed. You dissolve it in water. Filter it multiple times. Then cook it for hours. So even if had human waste , it would have filtered out. By the way it is found at places that are inaccessible to most people.

    • @Body1Up
      @Body1Up 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @najibyarzerachic tap water is worse which is actually shit piss and all sewage and bodily waste flushed down toilets but is also processed and filtered "they say" enough to where it is safe.. and I'm sure you cook with and drink that.. filtering and cleansing is a part of life but we do need to trust who cleans what we eat or drink.. the government cleans tap water and puts all types of things in it that kill us but we think nothing of it. I would use in small doses then work my way up.. make sure who you get it from purifies it correctly and their name is good.. make sure it's legit through the water, temp, and burn tests... for shilajit that is.. you can never be too careful but understand that the medical field benefits from us not taking it and going to them for these issues.. both parties and sides gain from our belief.. one side has been lying to us for ages though so take that into consideration...

      Yes it has methyl folate in it. Folic acid is a lab made oxidised form, the body has to convert to the methyl version and puts pressure on the body. Neither do our bodies particularly like oxides

    If there issent a study on it it's because they tested it and it didn't work, but they don't want the truth to come out, it's more profitable to scam people than providing the truth.
