- Adaine is possible my favorite character in Fantasy High. I love her story arch in both seasons and I wanted to share the amazing moments she has. Also there is a lot more foreshadowing of her parents being the villains of season 2 than I remembered.

@@Arannath A year late, but in D&D, if a weapon is a finesse weapon, it means you can choose to use either your strength stat or your dexterity stat when making attacks and dealing damage.

Honestly, Brennan and Siobhan just Losing Their Shit over Adaines first day is a mood. She literally walked into the building, witnessed a fight, stole a ladle, had a panic attack and killed someone all within like 5 minutes and that is a 2020 MOOD
She woke up and chose panicked violence

Jawbone feels like an instance of a character meant to be one off ending up bigger than most other npcs, and I love.

I love that everything she says about destroying her family by getting stronger and finding a group of people to help her and her sisters joke about her joining a secret wizard society all actually happen in season 2.
I feel like that was deliberate on the DM's part, specifically because Adaine is the Oracle.

I lost my mind when she climbed into the roof and said "I go into a rage"
Probably my favorite thing in all of Sophomore Year was (spoilers) when Ayda crafted Adayne a spell just so she could actually punch things like she's always wanted, that was truly paying off one of the coolest traits of Adayne and Siobhan as a player, that they prioritize emotionally realistic choices instead of optimized ones
And then the poetic use of it to kill her dad.
I can't believe they didn't add the part where she brutally dissects the personality of the A.V. Club guy
2:27 the best part of the Doreen incident is Brennan fully bending the rules for an attack of opportunity just for the comedic value of Adaine braining Doreen
Well that and he said in a podcast with Lou that things were SPIRALING out of his control, so I think he was also like "Please god save me from this Siobhan."

You know what I admire about Adaine? For all the anxiety and panic attacks she keeps going into dangerous situations when its necessary.

yeah she has an anxiety disorder but that doesn’t stop her from being incredibly brave and i love that about her

ME TOO. That's always been my biggest "what if" moment from Fantasy High! Imagine how that would have impacted her magic! And her anxiety storyline! And her interaction with the school and her friends! Not to mention her relationship with her family, yikes.

the elven oracle dying was in episode one during adaine's first scene. brennan is one hell of a storyteller to put that in during the first ever encounter with adaine, who at this point is now technically the new elven oracle. i cannot believe it. the work brennan does is truly fantastic.
To be fair, as a DM, it is much more likely that he came up with that as a detail to throw in there, and then later found a way to incorporate it into the story. But it was still fantastic that he used it.
@@thatsnailboi1598 I can't imagine that that was incorporated later as Brennan hinged basically the entire plot on Adaine being the oracle and stealing the Watches and Wards book from the library.
@@BadWolf739 For him specifically, and how thorough he is with planning, you might be right, but a lot of DM's base their stories so much on "winging it" that it would absolutely happen
Something I found great about it was it really was a who did this sort of story and all the details were put out there. Brennan put them in there, with meaning and didn't like push the point too much. It really made it fun trying to figure the plot out. Even now explaining the structure of the bad guys is confusing and complex and really, really interesting in it's own right.
also i don’t think this was intentional but she technically did say a bit of a prophecy right after the elven oracle died “i will come back with some of my friends and beat you ass” or something to her sister

12:30 My whole favorite bit is the implications and lore about Adaine's jacket. The way Brennan depicts the identify spell just reminds me of how the entries for the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy are explained, I live for that lol
The whole Doreen murder bit was the first time I've seen someone accidentally stumble into the role of murder hobo even if it was for just a moment
Adine and Jawbone's relationship is so pure but what did you expect Jawbone is just hands down the best.

I’d love for Adaine to take a level in monk or a martial class in season 3. Especially since the “I’m strong now” moment.

Brennan sometimes throws 2 or 3 fights at our intrepid heroes before they get a long rest. So a martial class so Adaine has Proficiency with the oracles sword would be nice.

Assuming she didn't try to cure it immediately, I have a rough guess on how it would play out.
1. She starts off nervous about being a werewolf.
2. Her newfound power comes in clutch and saves her or one of the other Bad Kids.
3. She gains a lot of confidence and starts to get cocky with it.
4. She overextends and hurts someone close to her when she loses control.
5. She is right back to step 1 and stuck there until season end or cure.

My favorite moments in all of season 1 is the casual vitriol between Adine and her sister. You don't need to tell me that Siobhan has a sister of her own, I CAN TELL!
After meeting the rogue teacher in season 3, I came here to watch Adaine dunk on the previous Oracle. And I must say, does not disappoint. Slam dunk, held the rim and broke the back board my lord!

Ok but I went into fantasy high initially like almost completely blind and never expected the call back to the elven oracle and when I registered it I was like “OH MY GOD SHE IS! SHE IS A BAD ORACLE! SHE KNEW SHE WAS A BAD ORACLE TOO”
