    Wow , great video , really running those trucks !! I put a full chassis net cover on my Mojave to keep the debri out of there , works excellent , but I did do a motor heat sink / fan combo to keep motor cool . The one thing on the Mojav that bends easy when bashing is the acherman arm , I upgraded to an M2C , problem solved !!! When they bend , your wheels point away from each other and you suffer with bad steering . Like you are seeing with the radio , bad lag , I didn't even run mine with that , I put in a Futaba 3PV , very quick responce / control !!!

      I went with the Basherqueen front kit (5pieces) and the center brace for weight savings after adding the Integy gear boxes. These carbon fiber parts are certainly tough! No more bent shock towers etc..💙👍

    The Mojave walks all over the UDR, but that's to be expected with the independent suspension etc on the Mojave. -great comparison video.

      Thank you for the comment. I really do like both cars. The UDR is an awesome scale car and handles great for what it is. Add to that, the Mojave is very close on most counts, but is weighted differently, which lends itself to greater performance. AJ

    As my first which should I get udr, Mojave, fireteam? Thanks for your reviews guys

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It really depends on what you like. The UDR is a handful to work on but runs great for its class. The Mojave is easy to work on and runs awesome, again, for its class. The Fireteam is a bit of a novelty but runs pretty good considering the heavy body. I suggest picking the one that speaks to you. None are perfect but the Mojave is a beast and holds up well. Ask yourself this: what do I want to do with it? That should give you the answer. 😎👍

    Hi AJ... Been subscribe now for about 3 weeks.. just about caught up on the whole back catalogue.. some excellent videos mate really enjoyed watching.. just a quick question.. how do you get your car so clean after a wet and dirty bash..?👍🇬🇧😎

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for asking.
      Disclaimer: Some people do not like using water to clean their RCs, we are not like that. We will use water, simple green, and Blaster Silicone Spray. We also use WD40 on the bearings after cleaning.
      So, spray the whole RC down with diluted Simple Green. Let it soak for a couple of minutes. Lightly spray off the mess...body too. Flip it over and let it drip for a few minutes. Take the RC inside to a flat surface and sit it upside down on a towel. Using a fan, circulate the air through the chassis and body until dry. Flip it over and do it again until no water remains. At this point, we spray all of the exposed bearings with WD40 while rotating them to drive out any water and protect them from corrosion. Then we spray the entire RC, top and bottom, wheels and tires too, with a generous amount of silicone spray to protect against rust, and this makes the RC look brand new. Spray the body with silicone spray and wipe it off with a clean rag. Sit the body next to the RC and then let it all dry. The silicone spray we use dries and will not attract dust, which is a great thing for RCs. Replace the body and then marvel at the way your RC looks - clean and protected.

      It is on public land, but I prefer not to disclose my location. Check in at your local ORV park and see if they have useable terrain. Any park should have the space. Good luck. AJ

      I don’t know. They definitely are not. Thank you for the comment. 😎👍

    • @surfside75

      He's probably speaking of camber. The wheels look to be inboard angled and this is due to the amount of camber the manufacturer decided on. Can be adjusted by adding/removing shims.

    185A ESC?

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are referring to the BLX 185 ESC, which came stock in the V4 Kratons, and most of the Arrma 6s line before they switched to Spektrum. And yes, I believe it is 185 amps. Thanks for asking 😎👍

    • @AJJAMStudios

      Mojave would be my choice as a first. Parts and workability are better with Arrma. The UDR is more complex but awesome to see run. 😎👍

    This is like watching an episode of battle bots. Which ever vehicle survives with the least amount of carnage wins. I think these vehicles are thoroughly tested by their designers before they're available to Joe public. You guys, however, are on a whole different level. I think it's a tad unrealistic for y'all to point out weak spots on any given platform due to the unrealistic carnage you put these vehicles through. It doesn't appear to be any fault of the manufacturer and I'm sure you wouldn't put in a warranty claim. Afterall, a manufacturer will only honor a claim based on the assumption that their product failed under "normal" operating conditions. I've learned quite a bit from watching your videos. I know there are plenty of people out there that drive these trucks just like y'all do. I see what's left of them at my local r/c store piled up on the counter or in a plastic bin waiting for them to be repaired or put back together.

    • @Diaszurana
      @Diaszurana 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For vehicles like this, though, bashing is a normal operating condition. I get what you're saying, though 😊, and to be fair, the Mojave, anyway, can take a hell of a beating. The UDR...not so much. But that is ok, because the UDR was only partially designed for that. It was mostly designed for scale, and in that, Traxxas did a great job.
      Both are great choices. For the record, I'm team Mojave.

    • @Top-Jimmy
      @Top-Jimmy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "" Normal Operating Conditions "" - Is what you saw in this video. They aren't a Crawler. The Motto with Arrma even tells you - "" Don't Just Bash, BLAST "" - This is absolutely the way they are meant to run. Hard, Fast & Flat Out :)
      My 6s Mojave thrives on it, Have never broken anything while driving in the same manner as AJ and his buddy. Even have the higher gearing in mine running 6s 100c GensAce Smart packs...The truck just swallows it man. We are going to Metal Diff Housings though soon and a few more high tensile parts, But that's only because we want to... It's really the best adrenaline pumping hobby for myself and I am in my late 50's. I could be playing Lawn Bowls, However I don't think they'd let me in :)
      Another thing, If you cannot fix things in this hobby, Its without a doubt the wrong hobby to embark on.
      Take care man, Jimbo - Australia.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Completely different, but in the same basic class. I love, love, my UDR. I also love my Mojave. Car for car they run out about the same. Heck, they even look similar when cornering. But for repairs and maintenance, the Mojave gets my vote. And, as I've said before, if the car you have turns you on, "You have the right one". Thanks for the comment. AJ
