    Amen AJ! WD40! Love that you purposely crashed it! I crash driving normal! 🤣 I run castle 1650kv 8SX 25-27 pinion on 150c batteries. I want to do flips off jumps. I have to locktite the tire wheel nuts or they loosen and strip plastic uutire hexes. The car needs wheelie bars because it flips when the cage hits the grass. I use outcast 8s wheelie bars. I use a dumbo Rc radio. I get hate using this. But I used every remote out there and the remote is surprisingly good and simple. I’ve seen people taking out the lsd plates. The Mojave is in my top 3 rc’s. Great video! I’m giving this a 10 across the board!!! It’s a military tank! I’ve never owned such a strong Rc. And with a faster light system it’s insane!!! Thanks for your opinion and testing! 💯👍👊

      I'm glad you have one, I agree it's a tank. I love my Mojave EXB. Of course, you know we try and stay right around the stock settings, and still the thing is a missile. It's great having you back in the comment section. Bash on, my friend 👍

    Great vid as always. I bought the exb when it came out and love it! But I’ve always found the wheel size quite frustrating, since seeing this I’m going to give it Kraton arms and bigger wheels. Good call on your part. Everything sounds so cheap in the USA , I paid around £1000 pounds for mine! ($1300) ish. Ouch. Thanks guys

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow, that one cost you much, didn't it? Well, adjusting it to fit your style is always what we want for people. Longer arms? check. Bigger wheels? check. Sounds like fun it me. We never build cars for other peoples wants and desires. We always build them for ourselves, even when we mess up, there's no one to blame but us. Thanks for commenting. 😎👍

    Your videos are my favourite to watch, very informative and you have a good tempo and manner about your delivery. I have a Traxxas X-Maxx currently but want to purchase an additional car and was considering the Mojave EXB, would that be a good choice to give me something different in driving style to the X-Maxx? I considered a Keaton but presumed it would be too similar experience to the X-Maxx

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with the Mojave EXB idea. The Kraton would be too similar to what you already have, and it helps that out top three consists of the Kraton 8s at number one, the Mojave EXB in second, and the Xmaxx in third place. All three are awesome. If you need that speed and control but with a different feel than your Xmaxx, I would recommend the Mojave all day long. It's tough, fast, and a great rig to see run. Thanks for asking. AJ

    I just got the rtr green mojave! Have not drove it yet! I want to shoo goo the body first, i have a notorious and body got trashed so i want this one to last longer! My question is, you said the slt3 radio is faster than old version radio like i have with the v4 notorious. That older radio is slow. Do you think it makes a big enough difference to upgrade to the dx3 over the stl3! Thanks just found your channel and subscribe d. Your environment looks alot like Oregon, is that where you are?

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for asking. To answer your first question, the DX3 is a much better radio system than the STX2. The delay to the car on that system is definitely slower than it should be. However, if you're new to the hobby (and I'm not saying you are) you may not notice this delay straight away. However, when you get a better system installed the response times are so much better that your car feels like it responds almost instantaneously. A faster, more powerful servo helps too. My group runs all of these radios, the STX2, the SLT3, and the DX3, plus the DX5c and the DX5 Rugged, not to mention the Traxxas TQi system, and even they are switching away from the STX2 because of this delay. I find the SLT3 has limitations when setting up newer components, but the others handle these changes much better; the ability to set end points, throttle management, and so forth. I hope this helps, and to answer your second question, I am in the inland northwest, but I would rather not define my location further. Thanks for commenting, and welcome to the channel. AJ

    I WISH my body mount posts would break.. I guess mine were made from RPM plastics because I’ve yet to put a scratch into my body mount posts. In fact they are so flexible and strong in my Mojave that they transfer all of the shock and damage into my Mojave’s body. Even with two layers of sheet rock tape, several hot glue sticks, and at least 4 tubes of Shoe Goo, my Mojave body cracked and shattered until it literally fell to pieces. I have a crack up each fender well to the body post hole then the crack forks down to the front grille and across the hood to the other body post. The crack on the other side is a mirror image.
    I also have a crack and split up the rear tail lights and making its way over to the rear fender wells.
    As far as the rear window, roof, side doors, and interior insert, they are all flawless.
    The body damage is 100x worse because a Mojave body replacement is a Earth shattering $140!
    When I do replace it, I’ll be using a new reinforcement method I’ve discovered recently. I still use the sheet rock tape and shoe goo and hot glue but then I go around the entire outside edge with rubber automotive door edge guard strips fixed in permanently with CA glue in the inside fold of the edge guards. I’ve also started piling in Shoe Goo, Hot Glue, and Flex Seal Glue (white stuff in a tube) into every edge and bend on the inside of the body. Then I run the edges where I know it broke before with a hot plastic stapler essentially infusing tiny metal rods into the glue and body.
    As far as the body post holes, I cake all above items even heavier around the holes until they are nearly closed up. Then I drill it back out and drill out the body post tiny clip holes to make them bigger and higher up the post to offset the thickness of the glue so I can still force the clips through to secure the body.. if the clips still won’t go through I ditch them and start applying outdoor Velcro to secure the body..
    I never want to buy another replacement duplicate body again.. such a waste and so expensive.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, you put a lot of effort into protecting your body. I understand, the thing costs an arm and a leg to get a replacement. I appreciate your tenacity regarding the protection of the shell. Let me know how your new fix works. AJ

      @@AJJAMStudios will do. I know my entire comment was nothing but a negative complaint so I feel like I need to clarify that the Mojave EXB (Spektrum “Big Block” 8S 😁) ranks #2 in my collection behind the Kraton EXB 1/5 with an XLX2 and 800kV censored setup and in front of the Typhon 6S Castle MMX & 2200kV censored setup. It‘a so much more fun than some other RCs and I truly enjoy sending it. And even with the trashed body it still looks great. I swapped in a set of dBoots Katar’s that come stock on the Talion RTR and it’s made it feel new to me again. And aside from the body it’s incredibly durable. I’d say it ties with my Typhon as the most durable in my collection (and the Typhon has been outfitted with Hot Racing, EXB, and M2C parts until complete). I decided to mostly leave my Mojave alone and only upgrade what broke, which I try to do but sometimes I justify having spare parts by upgrading early, and it’s still mostly stock.
      I did add the Scorched RC fender wells.. I just couldn’t handle the trash the tub accumulated instantly.

      @@AJJAMStudios oh, I wanted to ask.. did you happen to grab any new toys during the Horizon Hobby sales this month? I was tempted by the Arrma sale but I’m glad I held off because I really have been wanting a Losi LMT. It was 12:20 A.M. when I saw the one day sale for the roller @ $250, and I gave in to Horizon’s sales tactics immediately.. I would have been strong enough to resist, I didn’t stand a chance after they knocked the $450 RC that was #1 on my wish list down to $250.
      I’m currently trying to figure out the whole body mounting situation as I didn’t want GraveDigger.

    • @AJJAMStudios
      @AJJAMStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, I did not join in on the sale. I already have several new cars on the way and I'm currently awaiting their arrival. As always, these things cost a lot and we buy them ourselves so money is a real issue. Currently we are having to budget for our new cars, as winter really takes it out of our finances, but keeping it real for the channel and the community is always our priority, so we do not accept freebies. Maybe one day we will find a way for our fans to help, but for now we are going it alone. As far as your body mounting situation, which body are you considering for the LMT? Totally curious. AJ

    • @Critical-Defense
      @Critical-Defense 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AJJAMStudios I agree I think you should find a way for the fans to help out. I’d donate.
      I’ve wanted a Bigfoot ever since I saw the Traxxas version. My childhood was filled with Bigfoot and USA-1, not Gravedigger. I’m considering the JConcepts Bigfoot body currently and then I may grab a Proline body that’s as close to a ‘67 Ford F-100 as I can get. My dad had one for many years so it has a little sentimental value to me.
      Outside of RC, I’m planning to do a ‘67 Ford F-100 scale model soon. I did scale models with my dad as a kid and I’ve been wanting to do another. I have a ‘69 Ford F-100 I’ll do first to give myself a bit of experience and lessons learned for the ‘67.
