So, the first time I ever cooked for my then boyfriend,, now husband of 33 years, I made meatloaf because he really likes it. I fix mine with a pound of ground beef and a pound of ground pork, with all the tasty things inside of it. I had mashed potatoes, green beans, and salad and rolls to go with it. I served our plates and he ate everything he had been served, and asked if he could have more. I said sure, and he served his plate again. When I went into kitchen to clean up, there was NO meatloaf, NONE. I had 2 slices from 2 pounds of meat ... I NEVER left him alone with my meat dishes ever again ...

Hey sweet friends. I ask y'all to please continue to pray for me. I had my doctor's appointment yesterday I was told that I have a tumor on my left temperal lobe, they didn't tell me the size, they just said that they caught it early enough that they are going to try medication first which is some kind of steroid that starts now (I have the medication) and get me an appointment with a Neurologist ASAP. Thank you in advance. God Bless.
Father, in Heaven, please continue Your watch care over Sis. Alma. Be there with the doctors and other caregivers, as they help her during this time. Watch over her family, as well and help them see to her care and needs. Just keep them all in Your loving arms…in Jesus’ Name I pray! Amen!

I might have mentioned before but if not, lol! I will get a bag of onions, 6 or 7 green peppers, yellow/red peppers and sometimes celery and carrots and spend a while using my chopper and chopping them all. I put them in zip locks in the freezer so that I’ll always have them ready for making a recipe. I will usually do each veggie at a different time because I usually don’t use them at the same rate. It’s fantastic to read the recipe, realize I need a chopped onion, go to the freezer and grab a handful. Hope that this helps!
I freeze onions all the time, last night it was only 19 degrees outside so I chopped some up put on cookie sheet and put bag over it and this morning they were frozen just put onions in same bag and throw in freezer. I don't have that onion smell in my freezer either. It's going to warm up now so probably last time I'll be able to do it that way. Everyone have a blessed resurrection day. God bless

I am married, but separated, but my husband does come over and spend a lot of time with his stepchildren and myself, I have three children, one son, and two daughters, all of which teenagers, just the teenagers, eat me out of house, and home, there’s not many leftovers ever, and if my husband‘s here, forget it lolI absolutely love these recipes and I am intending on making the stew next week when I am feeling up to it after I had my surgery this morning, I absolutely love you and your channel and your family, a very blessed and happy Easter to you all

I have 3 guys in my house. My 2 sons are midnight snackers 😂. They have never outgrown it! Leftovers never seem to make it til morning 😂.

I live with my son and husband. I do most of my cooking with an 18 quart or 6 quart nesco. Any left overs are lunches for the week for both of them.

Haha.. I found out that I can use sunflower kernels instead of pine nuts since I'm allergic to all nuts. Now I can make recipes that call for pesto 😊
Plus pine nuts are crazy expensive and hard to find!

When both of our kids was home, we had a girl that was 4-1/2 yrs older than her brother. My husband at that time worked in the oilfield and whatever we had for supper, the leftovers always went in his lunch, unless we had a stew or a big goulash or pinto or butter beans. That gave us as a family a meal for the next day. But mostly our son and his dad could normally clean up the food part! Then in a couple of hours when I was trying to unwind, they woul want a cake or brownies or something sweet! Now my husband is a diabetic, keeping that A1C down, but now I’m the one that would like something sweet!!

I am trying to watching this video. It is Sunday at 7:00 am. I can hear Gracie meowing and Kitty is meowing too. It is his breakfast time. He knows when it is 7:00 am. Like Gracie when she wants her cheese, Kitty wants his breakfast!
I live with two,guys too, we typically do have leftovers but my son always takes them for work lunch the next day. Love your channel.

I have a husband, 22 yr old son and an 18 yr old daughter. I rarely have leftovers and I double and even triple recipes to try to have them.
You could put some relish or chopped salad pickles in the cheeseburger pasta too for a little more flavor

Mandy, I can't get enough of these recipes! I'm definitely doing that pesto chicken dish this week. Can I suggest a tip when cutting onions? Cut the end off where the greens grow out but don't cut the root end. Slice and then dice the onion. The end with the roots will hold the onion together and will be easier to cut. Then just discard it when you're done cutting. Happy Cooking!!
K so was sitting watching and as Gracie is meowing, my husband hollers Rubin (our cat) shut up! I'm like whatcha talking about that's Gracie 😂😂😂 I like these it usually always reminds me of one I forgotten lol

I'm right there with you on the peas.... I can eat raw peas all day right out of the pods but cooked, nope!! Our granddaughter lives with us and that girl can eat! We don't have leftovers when she's home for dinner.

I’m with you on the sun dried tomatoes. Love the flavor/hate the texture! Momma used to have an old coffee grinder that she used for herbs. She would put the sun dried tomatoes in it and make her own paste. Works like a charm!! Oh! I made your Guinness stew. Hubs loved it! The best part of the meal was when he dropped his spoon (kinda loudly) into the empty bowl, and exclaimed, “THAT is a go-backer!” I laughed so stinking hard!!! You see the thing is, He does not watch your channel. So, naturally, I asked him where he heard that term, he says HE made it up just right then. In fact, it was a go-back-backer (for thirds). Bwahahaha!! Have an excellent Easter!🐣

Pro tip, save some of the pasta water, you can add some to the meat mixture to create a creamy texture and help the pasta incorporate the flavors more.

I recently re-discovered your channel and have been enjoying y’all SO much! I’m a transplanted Yankee in NW Alabama. I have a 6 year old daughter who likes to cook with me and last night I noticed her intently watching one of your videos I had playing while I worked in the kitchen. It was one of y’all’s 5 favorites with the Big Mac Salad. I made the Guinness beef stew. It was a hit at my house and the beef was super tender (I used stew beef because that’s what I had). I also made it in the Instant Pot. Perfection!

If I make an entire batch of pancakes or waffles, he will ear the entire thing. Steaks, burgers, chicken, you name it. He will finish it!!

If you place your onion in the fridge for about 10 minutes before chopping- it won’t irritate your eyes.

I made the sandwiches right after you originally posted it. They were awesome! I only ate half for dinner and saved the other half for lunch the next day. I swear it was better on day two.
Use French bread and do not ne afraid of the vegetable juice soaking into the bread... have seen this done with a round loaf cut into wedges. Looks like a good sandwich
