The irony lies in making great efforts to explore an outsiders' beliefs, religions and spirituality only to arrive to the shocking revelation that you were overlooking the diamonds in your own backyard.

Love it. You meantioned what you heard in a Buddhist temple was similar to sayings you heard in Ghana. I believe spirituality is universal. I suffered with ignorance for decades. When you don't separate Nature from the intelligence behind nature or Creature from Creator, it is not African Spirituality. But Eastern Panteism. Every African know automatically that there is a spiritual realm. If I can have a Spirituality that connects me with the person who created nature, that is all I need. All should be carefull about invoking spirits even if it is ancestral because not all ancestors are good.

Africanism is our spiritual expression. The concepts are founded in all African beliefs and should be used to unify us. The names maybe different, but the concepts are the same. Christianity is European, Islam is Arab, Hinduism is Indian and so on...In all of these beliefs there are subgroups with twist on the ideology, but the major concept remains the same. Africanism has been undermind by foreign influence and ethnocentrism. Africans hold a common belief and ancestry. Following the DNA...we migrated from the Southeast outward by way of waterways. These genetic aspects and ideologies also migrated. Keep the Faith...May God The Father...God The Mother...and The Ancestors Bless YOU

sometimes the person speak to them as if like the person is high but not high literally in othet words not present. for example, someone might be speaking to you at the present time while the person mind is somewhere else like communicating to them about ideas or such. It is not forgetness but unfocused on the present but rather on the future talking about the past about ideas and such.
