This is a great recipie. It's tart and really good in potato salad, on burgers and hot dogs, it's so good. Definitely my favorite dill recipe I've tried so far, plus it's so easy!
I made zucchini sweet relish this morning. Since I was young I had always made my elderly Aunt's "hot dog relish" recipe and canned. It is a sweet relish using green tomatoes, cabbage, onions and bell peppers. Fast forward to 8-10 years ago when I was given a jar of zucchini sweet relish from a friend. If was very good. I since discovered You Tube and switched to making zucchini sweet relish and a cucumber sweet relish. Then last year a friend who doesn't can could not find the dill relish at the store that she used. Aha, challenge. I made a small batch of zucchini dill relish that turned out good and shared some with her. I neglected to write down what recipe I used but will probably make another batch soon. My cucumbers aren't growing good this year so zucchini it will be.
For us it is Dill relish, mostly because I use it in potatoe salad. Better than chopping pickles and onions just to make the potatoe salad. I make bigger chunks and can it in pint jars.
I like both sweet and dill but I guess sweet would be my favorite. My hubby doesn't like sweet pickled anything so I usually make dill for him. Turmeric is very good for inflammation, however, if used all the time (especially the supplements) it can lead to liver damage and if using turmeric is continued after the damage is done and can even become fatal. The research and information on that is widely available on the internet.
Thanks, My cukes are coming in faster than I can find uses for them. Made sweet relish last week. I also fried up a bunch of cukes, made cuke and tomato salad, and made refrigerator sweet pickles. Now I'm wondering if there are dessert recipes for using cukes like we use zukes. Google here I come!
Thank you

I agree!!! I like when it saves how many of the items or how many pounds verses how many cups!!! Thanks this sounds fantastic!!!
We liked it!!

I use both. But I think I use a little more sweet than dill. Thank you for watching and commenting!
