I feel the same way, I am afraid of messing up a project with a good piece of fabric or clothing I thrift that’s “irreplaceable” in my mind. I’m trying to muster the motivation/courage to complete a project without any issues….wish me luck! 😅

This is so impressive!! I’m also getting back into my seamstress era & it is such a learning curve. You could replace the ties on the red plaid shirt with ribbon. Also toggles would be a good choice for the coat. The quilted jacket is amazing.

Wow you made a lot of cool stuff! The brown plaid jacket looks fantastic - adding thin ties in the front would be a cute & different way to add a closure. With everyone loving bows rn, ties at the cuffs might be cute too, unless that's not practical lol. I love the quilt jacket! And I agree, little imperfections add character and make it look like a unique homemade piece which is more special :)
I would definitely redo the ties for the red check top. Those ties should be no more than spaghetti strap width. If you can't make your ties that thin, then using red grosgrain ribbon would work better than what you currently have. I liked the top at 21:34 best of everything. But I like how everything you made really showed your style and personality.
Your fabric choices and patterns are 🤌🏾🤌🏾 you made such a curated artsy selection. I didn’t think any looked wonky, I imagine any of these at a vintage sale. Makes me think of trying but I sew by hand and I feel it would be v difficult.

I feel like maybe the collar on the flannel jacket just needs some topstitching? Adding a closure I think will take it past looking homemade (not that homemade is a bad thing!!!). Everything is so cute and unique! I'm so happy TH-cam suggested your video to meeee.

I love your shirt and the big collar looks fab! I think you mentioned increasing the size(?) I think if you manipulate the bust dart it will fit a lot better. The dart is too high for your bust. You coukd do a FBA ( full bust adjustment) if you need extra room. If you just increase the overall size the shirt may end up too big on the shoukder! Keep up the good work x
I have to ask your advice. So iv done a sewing course & would love to start making and selling but dont know where to start. Do i sew 1 pattern and in how many different sizes. Or do i go to a manufacturer & just buy blanks in bulk. How to start a clothing line?
