Interesting! We have recently shared our experience about buying an apartment in The Netherlands. It is a hot topic due to the cost and shortening of houses, indeed

Thank you solid information shared. For someone who is currently checking in funda really eye opener and good direction. I have few requests maybe you can cover in future videos if possible 1. Is there some difference between apartments and houses 2. I have some doubts on resale or in general you talk only about buying something on selling(Thinking future resale) ? 3. Some info on mortgages ? how much i can get is there some choices ?

Thank you! Glad to hear that you found it useful.
      1. Yes, I have differences between apartments, row, corner and independent houses on my list of video ideas.
      2. Hadn't thought of that but will add 'selling a house' to the list.
      3. The 3rd video will be on how to get the lowest interest mortgage and the 4th one will be on other factors to consider when choosing a mortgage.

With listing of 2.90 and own valuation of 2.77, what do you think should be the bidding price for this property ? More than 2.90 or between 2.77 and 2.90 ?

    • @ajinkyapatil1728
      @ajinkyapatil1728  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I'd bid 277k or a little higher. Depends on how much like the house, that is not quantifiable :-). The idea is to at least find out the fair market value.

Nice and useful Ajinkya. You briefly mentioned at the beginning of you video the possibility of waiting until the market crash ... difficult to forecast... but what is your view about it? How long can prices continue going on?

Hi Ajinkya, thanks for creating the “real” useful content, and I will be glad to see your channel grow.
    I few questions
    1. Shall we go for resale or new houses? If resale, what to look for while shortlisting the house?
    2. If someone is looking for around 5 years stay in NL, does it make sense to buy or rent? What is the break even point (time)?
    3. Difference between buying apartment vs landed property? Which one makes more cost effective solution, in conjunction to Q2?
    4. What budget shall be allocated to a house in sub-urban of Amsterdam for 90m2+ apartment and landed property?
Basically I am trying to figure out for a short term stay planner (around 5 years), what makes more sense buy vs rent, where the budget allocated for the rent is around 1000-1200 euros (except utilities), and what price point of house (to be bought) makes sense in this equation.

@@ajinkyapatil1728 Well I would be moving to Amsterdam next soon so I would be soon a part of that rat-race(apartment hunting). It find it a bit overwhelming, specially for someone moving from india to Amsterdam (where housing market is so competitve and fast moving).

@@ajinkyapatil1728 I feel that you can create a video about renting, which places specially indians should look for in Netherlands and what things they should keep in mind.

  • @pixelbasedlifeforms

Well, if you calculate the “real” market value of the house, you will never be able to buy a house in NL. Someone will bid more than that and they will get the house.
