Malie! Love the song as usual and also the Lady with her dancing. Love and thanks from your coconutty crazy fan from the edges of the Sand Dunes of Fiji.
Leafa was married to a chief in Tonga..i remember seeing her as a kid in the late 70s she was old and grey then but handsome and cheifly looking lady. After her husband died she never returned to Samoa.
Leafa married to my Uncle Havea Sione Fatu. He passed away in 1962 and Leafa'itulangi never returned to Samoa. The name Leafa'itulangi is mostly given to nobles' daughters. 'Ofa atu.
@@snkolo6508I choreographed a program to highlight this song, talking about Vaopunimatagi (who had passed), her daughter Leafaitulagi (who had married Tongan noble man - Havea Sione Fatu) and has left Apia to go live with him in Tonga ♥️♥️♥️ This is the conversation I had with a respected Tongan lady here to help me with Havea’s story…a little bit of what she told me “Yes. i very familiar with this song and love story...Havea, Sione Fatu is the nobel of Ha'ateiho, my mothers village and is my mothers uncle...Leafatulagi dressed my mother when she married...using her gafigafi, or kieha'amoa...or iekoga...a very dignitary figure indeed in Tonga during herdays...Havea is one of the highest nobles of Tonga and is a descendent of the Tamaha...a line that outranks even the King of Tonga...when he married, there was not one in Tonga that was ranked high enough to marry him, so he chose a noble Samoan Taupou...yes, they were not blessed with children, but hanae a few children...”
My grandmother who was Samoan would tell me the story of Leafa whos parents had lined her to marry a chief in Apia but she was a strong minded woman who would not give in to even her parents wishes the name befitting(leafa..the storm)and so followed the Tongan chief to Tongatapu. They never had children..as told for her disobedience..makes an interesting story.
Leafaitulagi is a daughter of a lady name ituimatagi she wanted her daughter to marry a chiefs son in samoa but Leafaitulagi wanted to marry a member of the royal family from Tonga so she went and her mom was not happy about it till she got the news she died she felt sad her mum died disappointed in her and that’s why in the song it says “ua motusia lou pale na ou tiu ai i Apia” meaning her mum was the reason she was important in Apia and that’s why she stayed in Tonga and never returned to samoa
I love and miss you so much grandma, it’s harder to say then anyone knows, you were the only person who understood me and I can’t wait until we meet in the next life, and get to tell stories of our family 💯💯💯🇦🇸🇼🇸💙💙🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🥲🥲🥲 #cryingsohard

Hi, I’ve been a fan of RSA band ever since my dad played their cassette tape in his car when I was young, and I was listening to their album “Le Galo oe Rosa” and their song “Ae Se’i Mo’emo’e ane Loa” during the breaks/fill in they used the accordion sound but the tune they used I’m pretty sure was from another song either from the 90s or they’re own songs, I’m trying so hard to figure it out but I can’t figure it out, I don’t if you can recognise the tune or know anyone that would?
All of the instruments played in RSA Band music are of our own renditions and our own original compositions. We appreciate the support, please feel free to stream our songs on all available platforms ❤️🇼🇸
Hey Fams, Been a massive fan.. Just wondering if you have La Lelei o Samoa song? I think thats the best version, but can never find it on here.. Be great if you can upload it on here/soundcloud or spotify. Alofa aku.

Deligently rolling those light shiny legs and nodding those heads here and there. Reaching out by curvey-swaying those hands and heaps, just like an eagle has landed on Leafaitulagi's local warf. Blushing to the sound of the waves crashing smoothly on the beach in Apia, Samoa.. The Okari has fallen...
