This is so relevant for these days we're living. God's word is alive and active.
Awesome video. I'm 22 and many people ask me why I don't listen to secular music, watch certain movies and tv shows and this is exactly why. I'm growing my faith and understanding that there are so many things created to take us away from God and get us into things that are worldly. It's so important to guard our hearts, mind and eyes in order for us to grow and in turn strengthen our relationship with Jesus.
Sis this is so encouraging! I'm 20 and people think I am so extra. I've even been questioning if certain "positive" songs are okay to listen to but every time the holy spirit corrects me.

I went to a church for 2 years. God must've blinded me because I sat under this spiritual dead ministry for 2 years. And He finally woke me up and for 6 months, showed me EVERYTHING that was wrong. The last day, the Holy Spirit told me to listen for Jesus. It made sense why because that pastor never said the name of Jesus, the Gospel, the Cross, in that sermon (Easter and Christmas don't count lol) NOTHING...so I left. It was hard because I love so many people there and they loved me. But I remember the Lord explaining it to me that every time I walked in that Church, the Holy Spirit stayed behind outside waiting for me to come out. So scary. A church without the Holy Spirit who ensures the preaching of Christ and Him Crucified, is dangerous. No matter the fellowship.

Young women in Christ or babes in Christ are Blessed to have someone like Heather. When I first accepted the Call to Christ many years ago, I wanted to see someone like me who wanted to follow the principles of the Bible, but couldn't find any. Most of my friends WHO WENT TO CHURCH were fornicating and wasn't sure it was practical. I'm glad the Lord has people like Heather to teach the babes and young women in Christ.

Amen. This was what we studied in Bible study in college last semester. The book of 1 John. It's very important for us to test the spirit at all times. Oh my goodness Heather! Always as a child and teen my mom would try to bring us to different churches. I always would say to her this church is no good, etc. She always thought I didn't want to go to church. That is not the case. I felt evil in some and nothing in the others. Finally at age 30. I have found a church which feels good. Great message.
I had that same experience at church where god revealed to me the truth about the pastor and his wife and entire church. They never prayed for me and my son like i asked . I needed a backing to get my baby back from cws and they continued to reject helping me. They were all white and spanish and i noticed it was because i was not them. So thanks . I also went home and kneeled and worshipped untill the lord sent me to the right people who could help. Yup , i got your message! God bless you!

I was looking for answers to whether or not people can bring bad spirits into your home. This really hit home. Sometimes you may think you're trying to influence other people in a Godly way but just having them around is unhealthy for you. You made a good point about opening your spirit up to lust even if whatever you were looking at doesn't necessarily attract you. For example, a girl who likes men, but is seeing pictures of half-naked girls. I didn't see this as a huge issue but now I am re-thinking it. It could be a portal for some things going on in my life. thank you for this video Heather. God was just speaking to me about these spiritual books I was reading, but they was quoting Buddhist, and all those other "religions" he was telling me don't read those. To test it and if it doesn't align up with his word than to basically leave it alone.
If you can't read a book that quotes other faiths, you are weak in your Christian faith. Don't be ignorant!

Nadin no matter where you are in your christain faith. spirits feed off spirits. Like she stated in this video she went to church and she felt her spirit telling her to leave. that's how it was when I read that book.

Actually,I believe God told her that because she may be a new christian or maybe He knows how those books would impact her.
For example,there are christians who can read even books which have new age things in them and yet not be fooled. It depends on how mature you are in your christian lifestyle . God may tell to some people not to read a specific book,and He may let another person read it.
Always pray before reading.
For example,today I read a book which said that we are all gods . Lol.. new age..i know.
But it also had some truth in it,it said not to take everything personally,and some other interesting stuff which are not contradicting the bible. We have to ask God to help us discern what we read.

There's a couple that I've been following for a long time on social media and youtube. The other day they started dissing another ministry and the music. It sort of tapped into a part of my past that was painful too. I swear I hear unsubscribe, turn it off, you got what you needed out of it, you're done. It was powerful to think about.

Thank you, Heather! I have heard you speak about testing every spirit many times before, but this explanation is so informative and timely to my situation. God knew that I needed to hear this! Could you do a video on the process of sanctification, particularly for singles? How does God use your job, your friendships, mentors, participation in various things in the church to sanctify a single? I've heard that marriage is the biggest tool of sanctification, and i believe that God hasn't left singles out, but I'd like to see how He works all things together for singles, as well.

Heather, this video, I watched yesterday...may have just saved my life. I had met a man professing to be a "christian" man etc however it wasn't sitting well in my spirit and I would feel the same grief you were talking about after each conversation with him (phone)...after watching this I realized that my spirit, the holy spirit, God was telling me to listen and NOT have anything to do with him! I couldn't rest and finally decided to run a background check on him. What I discovered made me so sick- a rap sheet stemming almost 20 years with recent arrests that included corporal injury to spouse, child endangerment, domestic violence, multiple DUI's etc. Lord, thank you for Heather, thank you for your spirit and thank you for loving me! Ladies, take heed TEST EVERY SPIRIT! some of those that say they come from God are not from God!

afnichols What about dreams about demons? I strongly doubt God would allow someone to be attacked by demons.
Tiffany Im always having dreams about demons trying to attack me but in every dream I'm rebuke them in the name of Jesus. I use to think its not from God. I use to be in fear whenever I would have a dream like that but I believe God is letting me know that I'm in a spiritual warfare and that demons are going to try to attack me but won't be able to harm me because I'm in his word daily. In every dream the demons could not touch me because I was rebuking them. God even spoke to me and told me to say this one prayer I always say before going to bed and when I did the demon stopped and looked than flee away. Ask God about your dreams. I always asked him about every dream and finally he made it clear to me. Tell God to make it clear to you. Ask for discernment to know if it's from him or not.

Some churches invite guest speakers who are... false prophets. I know that is a strong term. How does that reflect on the church for choosing them?
Minimal Assembly It does tremendous harm to the church as a whole and harm to the hearers. Some pastors have invited a guest speaker because they were told that the person was good. It is unfortunate, but just because someone invites a false prophet doesn't mean the person is a false prophet as well. It means that the person lacks discernment.

There's so much truth in what you're saying and I'm guilty of it.
I just go back an forth like a yoyo.. i get on fire for God.. then i see the world and watch NDE's (near death experiences) on youtube and it shatters my fire..
I just don't know how to know for sure whats true. And if just living a life of love is enough.. as nearly every NDE says is the only thing that matters.

I just had an encounter with a spirit. I was in the middle of the dream about a famous preacher and his kids. I saw that the siblings were competing about their fans, basically how many followers they had, which one had more followers.
Then a "nonGodly thought" came to mind. At that moment a spirit came to my room and started to pray for a clogged organ. I am assuming it was for my heart. I felt a cold spot on my legs where he placed his hands on me. It was weird. Then I saw this notification on my phone. God works in mysterious ways.
Wow! You hit the mark Heather! To be honest, I believe the spirit was praying over me because of the spirit of lust. I wanted to watch pornography and the spirit was praying over me right after that thought.
This was a good informational and inspirational video. I'd like to see one about how to be a young adult and live a Godly life.

Wow! I just got revelation. It isn't the person but the spirit in which they are operating under and speaking. I guess that is what we are to discern by testing. Is what they say or do true? Does it line up with what is in God's word? Is it the Holy spirit speaking or the spirit of error? I was struggling with understanding what this all meant but after I read and after Heather spoke, the Word I read and what I heard started to make sense Wow!! Thank you Jesus!
