Nice find! I'd love to start making my own cabs but for now I'll have to settle for my rock tumbler. I found some phenomenal jasper out along the very southern tip of Texas last summer that I need to make in to something.
It was a really nice carving of a bird. …your holding it upside down at the 1:10 time It’s even got the tiny eye. It’s all in the angle and perspective
Really interesting 🤠just stumbled on your channel and I am glad. After this episode I've subscribed and will be catching up on others you have done⚒️ End result was a unique colour to look at🌟
Wow I would LOVE to learn how to do this. I have a friend who has a lapidary. Is there somewhere I can find instructional videos to learn this? I go rock hounding all the time and have many amazing rocks that would be beautiful if I knew how to do this. Instead of just hitting them with a hammer.....just kidding about the hammer.
Where are you ? I have lots of rocks of different kinds that you could make beautiful! My mother in law used to make jewelry out of them . I don’t know what yo do with them
@@RockhoundingLife okay, you would know better than any of us, you were working it. We just had our eyes. Except it kept chipping on the edge. But you were there. So, word.
Oh my gosh! That was so beautiful!
It's great that you picked up an already culled rock. The stone was beautiful as was the setting. Well done! 😷⚒
Thanks! 👍
Hi, you NEED TO SHOW US a PICTURE OF YOUR DOG!! LOL
I will!
Looks so good. How satisfying that it sold so quickly.
Nice found !!
Thanks!
It turned out great!
Thanks for the demo showing the whole process. Great info for rock hounds in training.
Glad it was helpful!

I love chalcedony. It's one of the easiest minerals to identify, because of its waxy texture. A beautiful finished stone.
Oh my gosh!!
Very Beautiful ❤👍👏🏼🇺🇸
Thank you so much!

Welcome aboard!
It looks pinkish on my screen, Is ie pinkish? Was the blueness like agate, showing blue when shaded? It was lovely..
It looks like Holly blue
As they say in Australia: Noice! I'm not Australian but I think it fits.👍🏻😁👍🏻
It must already be sold. Dang it.
Beautiful where do you find that kind of stone at beautiful artwork you did
It was foumd on the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia

A Bay of Fundy chalcedony - from the NS side of the bay? What general area?
Scots Bay area

We are in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Honestly, my knee jerk assessment was "Purple Opal?!"
I don't think that's chalcedony. I think it's common opal.
It was very hard material. Much harder than common opal

And now i know how to pronounce chalcedony...😅
Has anyone ever told you that you kinda sound like young Ricky from trailer park boys 😅😂 it’s definitely the NS accent
All the time actually.
Looks better outside in the front by the other rocks.
Dont be silly
Here is a piece of rock from the garden that I just put there…..oops.
Lol
That's no ordinary rock it's seam agate
Love the rock but your fingers need some work also 😂😂😂😂😂
They're man hands
This is very nice job! But you need a manicure asap!
Nothing like looking for something to be negative and critical about 🙄
