Thank you for the honest take. I think a lot of people would convince themselves that it makes a difference just because they look nice. It takes honestly and humbleness to admit that you are basically putting this on for the looks.. and maybe a 3% improvement lol.
These sorts of modifications, it matters where you live as to whether you’ll notice a difference or not. When I lived in Vegas, out in the dry desert air, aero mods made zero difference. Nada. Nothing noticeable. But I’m now on the East Coast in Virginia, where the air is denser, and oh yeah… I can certainly tell the difference. (Just put one of these on my MT-03 three weeks back, and will probably only use it for longer freeway trips).
It looks pretty much identical to the genuine accessory. They give you different bolts for mounting though. (Replaces the stock ones.) And of course, very little difference if any as far as wind deflection. The genuine one is also pretty noticeably smoke gray. Had Puig or Givi come out with anything at the time I was looking, I probably would have went with one of those.
Yup it is pretty similar. Back then Puig only sold the huge generic wind screens, which I am not a fan of. Not sure if they have better screens for the MT03 now though. Thanks for watching!
thanks for the review, I've been looking into first mods for my first bike (mt-03). Haven't even taken it on the highway yet. Any other recommendations for actual wind protecting screens?
I myself didn't look into actual wind protecting screens. I know the brand "Puig" generally makes some great ones and those are the ones I have seen most people going with. Hope you're enjoying your mt-03! What color did ya get?
Why not do a simple test to see if there is any benefit to the windshield? Test without the windshield three times. Measure the time it take for the bike to slow from a speed such as 70 mph to 60 mph after the throttle is released. Average the three times and perform the same test with the windshield in place and compare the two.

Appreciate that mate! Yeah, definitely have to be realistic with yourself with this windscreen lol!

@@SK_XIII I was actually just looking at a a Puig one. Yeah the mt has been really fun, I got the all black 2020 one :)
@@seeingeyegod ayeee nice! Black all the way! Hope you enjoy the bike :)
What about the washers?
Watching from Australia and I can’t help but notice how bumpy and patched up your freeways are over there compared to here.
100% the roads around here can be pretty bad sometimes. But they have been recently starting to re-pave so there is hope! lol!

This is a pretty objective way to do it! Thank you for the awesome idea!
No way in hell that little ass screen makes a difference for riding but I do think it looks good
