Picking up the trash I find while rock hounding is my favorite way to thank Mother Earth for the gifts she gives us. Love to see others doing the same💚
I can’t go for a walk anywhere without bringing a trash bag or two. I came from the “make america beautiful,” crying Native American, School House Rock era of this country. Makes me sad to see how much trash is just EVERYWHERE.. Its up to us to do something about it. We gotta teach our kids too. 😉👍
Bryan - This video was so calm and peaceful. The banding on the agates you found was so fine. I loved the large rocks you picked up with the green in them! And the big pink speckled one? I would have found it difficult not to take all those home to fill up a bowl or large jar. What I also found interesting was how the beach was literally wiped clean of everything and then it was completely covered the next day. I know it was two different areas, but still. Keep on rockin’!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Welcome to my neck of the woods! Moved up here last year. Too ill to explore but I'm on new meds and beginning to see improvement. I hope to be able to at least visit a Great Lakes beach this summer. You and Matrix sure make it look refreshing. When I see that many pretty color rocks...I could just wallow in 'em!!! Wonder footage of Matrix playing...made my heart dance! Thanks for taking me along!
Hope you get out and see that great lake , lifes too short to stay house bound ... I have faith that you can do it, dont let your illnesses determine what you can do ... There are alot of great rocks in that area just waiting for you to discover their awesomeness. I hope that you have someone who can take you to the shores and help you find some good ones to take home. Take care, and i hope that the new meds help get you back out rockhounding ...
I taught my kids that anytime they are out in the wild camping or rockhounding , that they pick up any trash they find/see laying around... Its the least we can do to leave the area cleaner than we found it ! Glad to see other fellow rockhounds doing the same !!!
Thank you for picking up the trash! It tells me a lot about your character! It was so heartwarming to see how excited Matrix was when he discovered the lake (ocean 😉). I feel the same way when I make it up to the UP. It's really neat that he experienced his first swim! The water is so cool, and clear that it reminds me of being back home in Montana (I currently live in Michigan). For your first time, you sure did find some great looking agates! Lake Superior Agates (LSA's) are known for their red, iron staining, so it's impressive you were able to find them in the sea of red (at your first stop). I've been hunting the shores of Lake Superior many times, and frequently get skunked. Believe it or not, I found my first LSA while I was walking my dog down a random dirt road over 300 miles south of Lake Superior! LoL! It looks like you have an eye for Unakite, just like me! The green epidote and pink feldspar sure do draw my attention! The variety of coloration and patterning of Unakite never ceases to amaze me! They actually take a good polish, considering Unakite has a granitic composition... Don't you just love all of the colors and variety of rocks at Grand Marais? I usually hit my 25# limit within 30 minutes! There's just too many cool rocks that I want to take home and tumble! Did you happen to find anything with copper inclusions while you were there? How about any prehnite? That stuff is beautiful! ... Did you get a chance to go picking at night and look for sodalite (Yooperlites)? So glad you had fun! Thank you for the great video, and thanks again for helping to keep our beaches clean, and for letting folks around the world see the majesty of our Nation's Great Lakes!
I love your videos. I thought I would thank some of my favourite TH-camrs. I'm an armchair rockhound. I can't actually go myself because a stroke has left me partially disabled and affected my balance, but I do enjoy it vicariously through you and others.
Show your audience the beautiful Lake Superior agates you found. You can do this by holding them up to the camera or filming them up close so viewers can see the details of the stones
I'm a sea glass picker upper. Some days I pick up more trash than glass. Good to see Matrix learning how to cool him self off. Loved the video! Imagine some of those agates as marbles. Encredible!
Yay! I've been hoping you would go find some lake superior agates sometime... next you should contact Theo Kellison in Montana cuz he finds tons of monster agates up to 10 pounds!
I visited the UP a few years ago and fell in love with the area. I found some what looked like remnants of smelting. Like black and green rounded rocks. Found great variety rocks that tumbled up beautifully. Unfortunately I didn’t quite research where to find those beautiful banded agates.
As soon as I finished watching I ran to Google to find out where I can find semi precious gems in the UK. I'm really quite surprised that I could potentially find Ruby's and loads of other semi precious stones along the seafront and in caves here in the UK. Next time I'm beside my coastal area I'll definitely be looking out for gems 💎
Great rock hounding on Lake Superior. The greeinsh rocks are called Unakite. For those who are not from the area... RESPECT THE LAKE. When it is violent, stay out of the surf. It is cold enough to kill you in a short time if you can't get out of the water (year around).
Guess you recorded this a while ago. Glad you uploaded it’s a good video. Those are some pretty good agate scores! Probably because it was Missouri bay 😂 looks like Matrix had a nlast
We need daily up loads, more road trips, epic adventures! Maybe save up and head somewhere exotic like Hawaii or South America (American Freindly) and spend a week either collabing or just seeing what the WORLD has to offer. There has to be so much gorgous material unseen by the Rockhounding space on TH-cam and if you pioneered the first trips to these places, you could stand to expand your channel and business as much as you'd like!
Beautiful location and lots of beautiful stones. I’d love to go see what I can find but like I said once before the Brian Social Security does not allow me to go very far at all specially when I’m still paying the mortgage which is almost my whole check every month it’s hard and I’m being honest but anyway enjoy and I really enjoy watching you and everything you do. Take care of that little guy matrix. God bless you.❤❤
Thanks for watching y’all! If you ever get a chance to go Rockhounding on lake superior, do it!
😘😘😘...
Not sure if you're friends already, but Kirby Marker does hunts for Lake Superior agates all the time. Look him up. He's an awesome dude!
Will do! And THANK YOU for cleaning up the beach - makes it much nicer for the next person 🙂, and for all of us
I'm guessing this was last September.
Matrix would not be swimming this week
Does lake Ontario have any interesting rocks to loom for? If anyone knows, I will be near it in June.👍👍😁
Picking up the trash I find while rock hounding is my favorite way to thank Mother Earth for the gifts she gives us. Love to see others doing the same💚
I love how much you include Matrix in these adventures I'm sure he's having the best life he could be!
Loved watching him enjoy his swim.
TY for picking up the trash left by others!
It’s gotten really bad in the last few years, you have to go to places nobody goes to if you want to get away from it.
Can’t get enough of Matrix! Such a happy lil guy! Tons of interesting rocks there!
I grew up in Michigan and I think it's one of the most beautiful states, very underrated. Lake Superior is so pretty.
Looked so relaxing just walking on the shore looking at rocks. I would have had a bucket full with all those beautiful rocks.
What a fabulous stroll! Thank You and Matrix for bringing me along. You two got the vibes... nature is magical. Love & Light 💫
Amazing rock, beautiful agates, and little matrix looked like he was having a blast! So much fun. Thanks for taking us along!

That little dog of yours is a true gem!! I can’t take all his cuteness. 😊
Your little dog running around was so cute! Enjoyed watching Thank you

That’s so cute Matrix loved the water! Also super cool finds! Those rocks were pretty!
I'm so grateful I only live a couple hours from Superior, absolutely love it up there and best rockhounding anywhere!
Matrix doing zoomies cracked me up 🤣😂🤣😂 Awesome to see you out rockhounding and some awesome finds!!!! Thanks for sharing

🌟🌟Matrix is so darn cute‼️ He even gets the zoomies and a swim‼️
Been hooked on your channel for a few weeks. I really wanna Rockhound now thanks to you
I love your videos. I thought I would thank some of my favourite TH-camrs. I'm an armchair rockhound. I can't actually go myself because a stroke has left me partially disabled and affected my balance, but I do enjoy it vicariously through you and others.
You could have tumbled the unakite, churd and jaspers along with your agates and get a lovely collection of shiny rocks!! Thanks for sharing 🤩😍
Show your audience the beautiful Lake Superior agates you found. You can do this by holding them up to the camera or filming them up close so viewers can see the details of the stones
I’ve been looking for agates in Michigan’s upper peninsula and haven’t found anything as large or colorful as you did! What awesome finds!
I would have brought a whole bucket home with all those gorgeous rocks!!
I'm a sea glass picker upper. Some days I pick up more trash than glass. Good to see Matrix learning how to cool him self off. Loved the video! Imagine some of those agates as marbles. Encredible!
Darn you found some big ones! I only found tiny ones! Love Lake Superior!
I could watch Matrix all day long. Nice findsat the lake.🥰
Yay! I've been hoping you would go find some lake superior agates sometime... next you should contact Theo Kellison in Montana cuz he finds tons of monster agates up to 10 pounds!

Amazing!! I’ve never seen Matrix have so much fun
Awesome finds!! That drift wood was awesome!!👍👍😁
You found some good agates. I'm glad to see matrix having a blast.
Thanks for another great video! Would love to search for Lake Superior agates some day!
Those are great finds! I have been meaning to make my way up to Lake Superior to look there as well!
The fact that he actually found an agate is surprising, scarce, Minnesota is the place
Never stepped foot on a lake superior beach and not found an agate. Unsure what exactly you're talking about.
Your "first real agate" is so gorgeous ! I love Matrix..xoxo!

Matrix looks like he wants to stare into ur soul in an adorable way❤
good finding brother❤
My neck of the woods, great video
The whole time I was watching I kept thinking about how helpful a gold pan classifier might have been. 👍
All that black sand...
So cool. I love your uploads. Thank you G
Nice.
7:18 video time right after you picked up the lure, it’s blurry, but looked like a reddish agate, or could be just sea glass in the sand.
As soon as I finished watching I ran to Google to find out where I can find semi precious gems in the UK. LSA’s are da bomb.
I also pick up trash when I’m out there and that lure find was great it could’ve hooked little Matrix’s paw 🐾
that damn dog has the cutest face I've ever seen 😍
Matrix swimming 🥺💙 haha he had a blast !
some nice finds well done 😊
Really enjoyed this 😊
I love watching Matrix have such a good time
He's adorbs
Found some amazing perfectly clear pieces at crystal vista! Came up dry at crater of diamonds :( Great time though thank you!
You're in my neck of the woods now. I live in Minnesota. ♡
Great video! I love agates!!

We visited the Grand Marais area this summer and did some agte hunting and put a video up recently. We'd love to show you the secret spot sometime!
Matrix is zooming so fast i can’t even hold my self 🤣😂
😂
You're like me, can't leave the unikite alone .
Matrix living his best life.
Matrix is just too dang cute
I'm gonna have to go to the lake.
Lake Huron is good for finding petoskey stones too.
You aught to try the yellow stone river in Montana if you want even bigger agates.
I think there was nobody that enjoyed this video more than Matrix!
If you want color that is definitely the place to be.
That was not 2 weeks ago most definitely before fall , the leaves are barely starting to grow back here in Michigan
Go Matrix go!
New phrase, do the flip, gotta flip it over.
I'm not really into agate -- I'm a gems girl -- but those are lovely!
@2:39!!! Whhhhhhaaaaatttttt?!?!? Matrix is the best!
Just you and the pup
If you’re REALLY lucky, you might run into Jason from “FlourGoldWizards” hunting yooperlites out there on Lake Superior. 😉👍
Let me know if you'd ever want to pick Lakers in Minnesota!
u should find michigan rocks and maybe you two can get together next time you are there. ❤
Just wondering if that's the same beach or relocated?
I grew up on that beach. There use to be more sand 50 years ago.
Matrix's zoomies made up for the sparse agates
Did you find any yooperlite?
i've been pronouncing it wrong..cool stuff man !!
anything around Stanwood, WA?
👍 watching your channel 👍 Hello from Virginia my friend 👍
So the green part is epidote and the pink/salmon part is feldspar and/ other things that I don't really know!
