Man, I think you saved me about 30 bucks. Maybe more. I was at the dealership yesterday getting my oil changed, and I mentioned the key battery was going bad. The lady told me the battery would be about 10 bucks, and that was probably without labor added. So I thought I would try replacing it myself. Couldn't figure it out on my own and I figured someone must have put this on TH-cam. Sure enough, there was your video. Got it changed and replaced the battery on my own. Thanks, dude!!

Very expertly done! I had the FOB apart and could not get the electronic part to stay into the silicone rubber holder. This video showed just to lay it on top of the rubber and snap it together - worked great!

Yes - thank you. My newer 2019 is a little different on how to separate and has a narrow/shallow slot on left hand side but worked fine once apart.

My fob is different. 2016 kia optima you just open out your key. Then where the key was you just pull off the back. It takes the same battery cr2032.

NO IT'S NOT THAT EASY....I can't even pry it open with ANYTHING never mind my fingers...not my first rodeo, I'm 63 and have changed MANY remote batteries over the years...NOT thus one...I invite ANYONE to come open it BY fingers as suggested in this video and if successful I'll buy you a new car, just not a shit kia

You’re shitting on an entire car brand because you can’t open your key fob? Mind you that may be entirely your specific situation and can be attributed to many different factors such as humidity, impact, exposure to the elements etc…by the way you can use a tiny flat screw driver to help pry it open…
