    I'm just starting out as a nail tech and this information is great. I tend to rush when I do a nail service because I worry that the client thinks it's taking too long. I need to slow down and be more thorough.

    Filing is the most important step after you have applied your application or nail enhancement especially when using tips. I am trying to get my Filing right without having dips or over filed

    What barrel bit are you using?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is our coarse safety bit.

  • @OregonOffgrid
    @OregonOffgrid 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How often do you replace your bits?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on how much use they are getting. Generally for carbide bits on acrylic would need to be changed after 50 or so clients. Sanding bands should be changed after every client.

    I notice the nails are kind of thick to start. Maybe I’m making mine too thin. Polygel is frustrating to work with lol.

    Im sorry but if you need to file that much are t you just using to much product?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the feedback. Everyone likes to work differently and do what works best for them. Some people like to focus more on application so there is less to file after. Other people like to focus more on the filing over application. We teach this as a speed technique. Once you are proficient with using an e-file, it is faster in our opinion to apply enough product to make sure the strength and structure is there and then file into shape. That way you don't have to go back and forth with possibly needing more product after filing.
