you look sooo gorgeous and soft in that ending clip!! that green sweater looks soooo good on you + also why tf do I want to pick up quicksilver right now lmao its soooo out of my comfort genre but way you raved about it and enjoyed yourself while reading.... need that type of energy rn 💜
I think Beartown is set in Sweden :) I loved it, even though I agree with it containing heavy topics! Have bought the second and hope to read it soon :)
Beartown (the book and the series) is an all-time favorite of mine! I’m so glad you loved it too, it really has so many great themes and beautiful moments and I just love the characters ❤️ The audiobooks are really good so I recommend checking that out if you want to get to the second book sooner! Anxious People is another one I loved by him. Also I looked away for a second while the video was still going and definitely had a jump scare when I looked back and saw your face mask 😳😂
i just discovered your channel and omg i am so obsessed with your vibe and your takes on these books! haven't commented in years but this was an instant subscribe!!!!!!!
I read The Bell Jar in my twenties. I have a necklace that says, "I am I am I am." I love Fredrik Backman. Every book has been a five-star. I need to pick up Beartown. I'm glad you had such a good reading experience with these three books. ❤📚❤️
gabriel garcia marquez is one of my favourite modern classic writers! can't wait for you to read One Hundred Years of Solitude (though it's quite a hefty one amongst his canon...) :D
I would recommend for romantasy: - powerless by Lauren Roberts or red queen (these ones are quite similar) - Phantasma - zodiac academy - heartless hunter More of a fantasy with romance: Crescent city
I never would have picked up Quicksilver but you’ve changed my mind ☺️ ps If you cut the face mask down the middle on the little bits that go above and below your mouth (top lip and chin flaps) you can overlap them and it will stay on better 🫶✨
The context of the Bell Jar is 1963. People always knew racism, ableism and any form of discrimination was wrong. Sylvia Plath was politically engaged leaning left and she wrote this unlikeable woman like this as criticism of conservative bigotry. As bigoted the main character is she can not escape being a woman and mentally ill and from there we get some insightful thoughts about her conditions. That's why Death Of The Author is more dangerous than useless, readers just asume 60 years ago racism was the rule so of course the author was racist 😂😂😂, instead of questioning the author's ideologies and their intent, if they faced opposition, if they inspired movements and other novels, why and how.
"Thank you Léa" we all say in unison
